1. Read and keep these instructions for future reference. 2. Follow all instructions and take note of all warnings. 3. Do not use this apparatus near water or expose the device to moisture. 4. Clean machine surface with a cloth. Avoid using detergent or cleaning fluid. 5. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. 6. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 7. The polarized or grounding-type plug is for user safety. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the outlet. 8. Protect the power cord from being stepped on or compressed particularly at the point where it exits from the apparatus. 9. Only use attachments/accessories approved by the manufacturer. 10. 1. AUX/SPDIF 3.5 mm connector 2. Micro USB connector for charging (5V/1A) 3. Standby/Reset button • Standby state: Press the button for 0.5 to 1 second, then release it. To wake up the device, press the button again. • Reset state: Press the button for 4 to10 seconds, then release it.

LED indications • Rapidly flashing blue/green: Power on • Rapidly flashing blue: Entering reset mode • Slowly flashing green: Not connected to the home network; reset mode* • Solid green: Connected to the home network • Solid blue: Reset mode • LED off: Standby mode

NOTE: * You can see R100 labeled as Allplay_xxxxxx_AJ on your list of available Wi-Fi networks.

Connecting to Wi-Fi home network

To connect to Wi-Fi home network: 1. Connect your R100 to your audio system and plug to a power source. 2. Wait until the LED turns into slowly flashing green to indicate that it is on setup mode. 3. On your mobile device, connect to your R100 labeled as Allplay_xxxxxx_AJ (xxxxxx:MAC) on your list of available Wi-Fi networks.

NOTE: On some mobile devices, the web browser launches automatically.

5. Assign a unique name for your R100 to identify it in the AllPlay Jukebox app.

6. Connect your R100 to your network. The LED turns to solid green to indicate a successful connection. 7. Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the same network as your R100.

To play music on your mobile device: 1. On your mobile device, download and install the free AllPlay Jukebox app from or App Store .

2. Launch AllPlay Jukebox on your mobile device and wait for your R100 to display.

NOTES: • A list of all available Clique R100 or AllPlay-compatible devices is displayed. • Depending on the network speed, it may take about one minute for the list of available devices to display.

3. Tap the device that you want to play music to.

8 Clique R100 User Guide 4. Tap Music on xxx (xxx stands for your mobile device’s name). All the songs on your mobile device are displayed.

5. Browse the list and add the songs you want to play to your playlist.

From your playlist, tap the song that you want to stream, then tap any of the following: • Play Now: Plays the selected song immediately. • Play Next: Plays the next song after the selected song. • Play Last: Plays the song at the end of the playlist. • Cancel: Cancels playback of the selected song.

10 Clique R100 User Guide Streaming music from your home network

With Clique R100, you can stream music from devices on your network such as NAS devices, computers, or music servers. To stream music from your home network: 1. Ensure that your computer or other devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as Clique R100. 2. Tap Music on the Network, then select the device you want to access your songs from.

Streaming music from your computer

To stream music from your computer: 1. Launch Windows® Media Player. 2. Click the arrow below the Library tab, then click Media Sharing. 3. In the Media Sharing dialog box, select the Share my media check box.

NOTES: • When you are connected to a public network, you may not be able to select the Share my media check box. For safety purposes, media sharing is automatically turned off when you are connected to a public network. When you are connected to a domain network, your network administrator can prevent you from turning on media sharing. • Supported music file types: Windows Media Audio (.wma), MP3 (.mp3), and WAV (.wav) files. • You cannot stream music from CDs/DVDs inserted into your computer.

When prompted, install the app for your selected music service. Once the app is installed, you will be able to stream the music of the selected music service from the AllPlay Jukebox app.

Supported music services:

• AllPlay Radio (powered by TuneIn) • Astro Player (music player) • Aupeo • Dar.fm • Doubletwist (music player) • Napster • Rhapsody (only in the US) • Soma FM • Spotify (only in Europe and the US)

12 Clique R100 User Guide Notes: • The AllPlay app and Clique R100 are only compatible with music services for iOS and Android platforms. • You can use any of these music service apps independently from AllPlay Jukebox. AllPlay Jukebox only offers a view of all the music services compatible with Clique R100. • The grouping and multi-stream features are not available for all music services. • If you have any question related to a music service feature, please contact the corresponding music service directly. • Visit the Clique R100 product page at www.asus.com to get the latest list of compatible music services.

Connecting to Spotify

1. Connect your Clique R100 and your mobile device, such as mobile phone or tablet, to the same Wi-Fi network. 2. Launch Spotify and do any of the following: • On your mobile phone, tap the song image at the lower left of the screen. • On your tablet, tap . Select your Clique R100 from the device list. If you cannot see it, ensure that your Clique R100 and mobile device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Clique R100 User Guide 13 Multi-zones

You can stream music from different devices to other Cligue R100 or AllPlay- compatible devices that are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Multi-room (Party mode)

Multi-room/ Party mode needs two or more Clique R100 connected to the same network. It supports up to 10 Clique R100 in 300Mbps network. We recommend that you use two (2) to four (4) Clique R100 for better performance.

Notes: • All devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. • Before using the Multi-room/Part mode, ensure that you connect to a 5GHz network (5GHz router) for a fast network speed performance. • When streaming high-resolution/high-definition music, we recommend that you use only two (2) Clique R100 and connect to a 5GHz network.

To use multi-room: 1. Tap the device name on the top of your screen to display the device list. 2. Tap Group beside a device name.

14 Clique R100 User Guide 3. From the next screen, select the audio devices that you want to group, then tap Done. The device group works as a single device. When you tap the volume control button , a screen appears allowing you to adjust the volume for each device independently.

Settings

The settings screen provides access to various system settings.

Tap to rename your Clique R100 device, restart AllPlay Jukebox, or the player

Displays the signal strength received by Clique R100

Displays the IP address assigned to the audio device by your router

To upgrade the firmware: 1. From your computer, go the Clique R100 product page to download the latest firmware version. 2. Ensure that your computer is connected to the same network as your Clique R100.

3. Launch AllPlay Jukebox’s Settings page to find the IP address of Clique R100.

4. From your computer, launch a web browser and enter the IP address of Clique R100. 5. Click Upgrade Firmware.

16 Clique R100 User Guide 6. Click Choose file and locate the latest firmware file that you downloaded earlier.

7. Click Flash Image and it takes about one (1) minute to upload the firmware file to your Clique R100.

9. When firmware upgrade is completed, Clique R100 restarts automatically. 10. Launch a web browser and enter the IP address of Clique R100 to check that the latest firmware version has been upgraded successfully.
