MESSAGE FROM THE REVERE SUPERINTENDENT Greetings!

I hope you all are enjoying the summer months. We have spent the summer closing out 2016-2017 and pre- paring for 2017-2018. We all look forward to the students returning on August 22nd.

Throughout the summer, the district continued to meet with the architects and construction managers for the new Revere High School and new Bath Elementary School. There are countless details involved in designing these two new learning environments. Our plan is still to seeks bids for the projects soon after the new year, with the hope of breaking ground in the Spring of 2018.

This year will kick off our second school year of being a 1:1 technology district. If you aren't familiar, stu- dents in grades 7-12 each receive their own MacBook Air for use at school and at home. Students in all other grades receive their own Chromebook or iPad for in-school use only. We are proud of the advances the dis- trict has made in putting technology into the hands of each student to enhance his or her learning.

Finally, each fall, Revere High School hosts "Future's Day." We welcome guests into our school to talk about their careers with small groups of students. This is a wonderful opportunity for alumni to return to Revere and share their career experiences. This year's event will take place on Wednesday, October 11. If you are inter- ested in participating or learning more, please contact Brenda Moll at [email protected].

I hope to see some of you there. Until then, enjoy the rest of the summer!

Sincerely, Matthew L. Montgomery Superintendent
