About Us This mythological marvel is the brain child of a great visionary Sri Kunda Satyanarayana. Hailing from a poor family of a small village, Sri Kunda Satyanarayana had neither formal higher education nor any extensive travel background of distant pilgrim centres, except a great love for our culture and tradition. After the death of his youngest son, Surendra Babu, he intensely desired to do something in his memory and the idea of building a mythological park came up in his mind. He didn’t know how to do or how to go about it. The nearing retirement age, the fear of providing huge finances for the project and the discouragement from even his close circles because of his old age did not deter his firm resolve to build the great mythological museum, but made the vision grow stronger day by day with greater zeal. It made him work for 12 years discussing the idea with different people and taking their views on his dream project. He even tried to appoint architects of international standard but they also could not understand what was in his mind. Then he decided to do it all by himself. He took the help of some senior sculptors and started off his work. It was on trial and error basis.

  • Om Gam Ganapataye Namah! Jai Karunamayi
OM GAM GANAPATAYE NAMAH! JAI KARUNAMAYI MOTHER EARTH temple and warangal ruins Situated in the city of Warangal, we will visit one of the most breathtaking and historical landmarks of India, the Warangal Fort Ruins and Temples. The ruins consist of three concentric layers, whose towering 50-ft granite gateways hint at the glory of the original edifice. Here we will also find the shrine known as Syambhuva, a temple dedicated to Mother Earth displaying beautiful craftsmanship and ornate carvings reminiscent of those found in Belur & Halibedu. Amma will also take us for the Darshan (sight) of a Shiva Temple located at the center of the ancient city. RAMAPPA TEMPLE The Ramappa Temple is located outside of Hyderabad, near the legendary city of Warangal. This powerful and unique shrine is dedicated to Ramalingeshwara, a form of Lord Shiva, and it sits on a very auspicious, star-shaped foundation (in fact, the ancient sanctuary has earned the description of being the “Brightest Star in the Galaxy of medieval temples…”). The sculptor’s devotion to the Lord can seen in the intricately carved pillars, walls and ceilings of the temple. And Lord Shiva’s blessings for this holy place have been reciprocated in temple’s ability to withstand wars, invasions and natural disasters, despite being constructed of bricks so light that they float on water. Ramappa is the only temple in India known by the name of the sculptor (Ramappa) rather than the Deity or Location. Thousand pillars temple This hill-top temple was constructed in the 1100’s by the Kakatiya dynasty and is nearly completely intact.

  • Eassy on Telangana
EASSY ON TELANGANA Telangana, the twelfth largest and twelfth most populous state of India was formed on 2nd June 2014 with Hyderabad as its capital. It falls in the southern part of the country and covers an area of approximately 114,840 square kilometres. Till 1948, major part of Telangana was ruled over by the Nizam of Hyderabad. It was known as the Telugu-speaking region of the princely state of Hyderabad which dissolved into one big state, Andhra Pradesh in the year 1956. The word 'Telangana' is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Trilinga or Trilinga Desa" which means 'the country of three lingas'. In the ancient time, Telangana was ruled by several empires namely, the Satavahana dynasty (230 BCE to 220 CE), the Kakatiya Dynasty (1083-1323), the Musunuri Nayaks (1326-1356) the Delhi Sultanate, the Bahmani Sultanate (1347-1512), Qutub Shahi dynasty (1512-1687), Mughal Empire (1687-1724) and Asaf Jahi Dynasty (1724-1948). The Nizam of Hyderabad didn't want to merge with Indian Union but to remain independent during independence but the Government of India captured Hyderabad State on 17th September 1948 after a military operation called Operation Polo. Telangana is situated on the Deccan Plateau and two major rivers Godavri and Krishna flow through it. There is hot and dry climate for major part of the year. It has three National Parks: Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park in Hyderabad district, and Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park and Mrugavani National Park in Ranga Reddy district. The official languages of the state are Telugu and Urdu. Telangana has 10 districts, 42 revenue divisions, and 462 mandals.

Introduction: Tourism, practiced and experienced, in this 21st century had begun as a form of entertainment way back in the Roman period (3 BC to 3 AD). Since Romans were developing a systematic approach to many aspects of life such as travel, transport, politics, wayside accommodation, military, religion, games and even entertainment, the people of Roman kingdom were provided with organised services of livelihood both by the Political Administrators and by Individual organisers. The primary areas of entertainment were Spas, Saturnalias and Olympic Games. They covered the aspects of health, festival and Games. It was a pure form of recreation in the Roman Kingdom. It provided an experience of Tourism though they did not know the word Tourism. Etymologically the word Tourism was used first in 1811. Experiences of these recreations improved the performances of services. In the Roman period, Romans travelled to various cities to participate or to observe sporting competitions and performing arts and events. Various modes of transport were used such as horses and carts. Spectator sports such as gladiatorial contests, sightseeing, and health oriented recreations in the form of bathing in spas (mineral springs) were popular entertainment activities in the Roman period which certainly gave the Romans the experience of tourism.
