Jim Jinelli Announces Jan 27, 2015 16:47 EST Jim Jinelli announces "Elvis: A Concert Experience" tribute dates It was a sad day in August of 1977 for Elvis Presley fans. The iconic singer died too soon. With nothing left, but his legacy, fans held on to his memory, until now. Jim Jinelli, a Chicago native, magically recreates the music and concert experience of "The King," with powerful vocals and a presence just that of the late singer. Jinelli's production, "Elvis: A Concert Experience," is so real and liberating it will leave you in disbelief. Jinelli will capture the hearts of loyal fans as he displays the exact charm and charisma of the "King of Rock 'n' Roll." At the age of thirteen, Jim saw Elvis in concert for the first time at the Chicago Stadium and from that point on; he knew the kind of performer he wanted to be. But, little did he know, he would later on perform tributes to the late King. With a dedicated following, Jim Jinelli has become a seasoned professional with a rare career track record. He has collaborated with many people who knew and worked alongside Elvis Presley including Jerry Schilling, Joe Esposito, Sonny West, Dick Grob, D.J. Fontana, and Scotty Moore to name a few. Not only is Jinelli a star on stage, he is a star in the hearts of many special individuals. He works diligently to raise money for various charities such as the Wounded Warrior Project. Elvis is planning an impromptu gospel medley of “You Better Run” and “Bosom Of Abraham”, and will sing the bass parts, whilst Charlie Hodge takes over lead vocal duties. Before he starts singing a member of the audi- ence calls out “you’re the king!” to which Elvis re- plies, “thank you sir, I’m fixing to sing about him”. This moment really sums up Elvis’ love of gospel music, and his attitude towards his own faith, and as it was recorded during one of the shows from his final Las Vegas season, it also provides a timely reminder that gospel music was an impor- tant influence on both Elvis’ music, and his stage performances, from his first recordings right up until his last. The Presley family moved to Memphis in 1948, and Elvis would attend the First Assembly of God Church with his mother Gladys.     Rock Album Discography Last up-date: September 27th, 2021 Rock Album Discography “Music was my first love, and it will be my last” was the first line of the virteous song “Music” on the album “Rebel”, which was produced by Alan Parson, sung by John Miles, and released I n 1976. From my point of view, there is no other citation, which more properly expresses the emotional impact of music to human beings. People come and go, but music remains forever, since acoustic waves are not bound to matter like monuments, paintings, or sculptures. In contrast, music as sound in general is transmitted by matter vibrations and can be reproduced independent of space and time. In this way, music is able to connect humans from the earliest high cultures to people of our present societies all over the world. Music is indeed a universal language and likely not restricted to our planetary society. The importance of music to the human society is also underlined by the Voyager mission: Both Voyager spacecrafts, which were launched at August 20th and September 05th, 1977, are bound for the stars, now, after their visits to the outer planets of our solar system (mission status: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/). They carry a gold- plated copper phonograph record, which comprises 90 minutes of music selected from all cultures next to sounds, spoken messages, and images from our planet Earth. There is rather little hope that any extraterrestrial form of life will ever come along the Voyager spacecrafts. But if this is yet going to happen they are likely able to understand the sound of music from these records at least.

When you met fashion designer Lilly Pulitzer at a wedding reception? Or the time you asked Roger Moore (a.k.a. James Bond) for directions when you got lost in London and he told you “You’re in for a hell of a walk.” These are some of my parents’ encounters with fame. These chance encounters became stories they would tell for years afterward around the dinner table, at parties, or while on a walk. Many of us have had similar experiences, and it’s all the same: you were living in the familiar, and suddenly fame walked through the door. Now imagine living next door to Elvis Presley in 1956. 1034 Audubon Drive was Elvis Presley’s first purchased house in Memphis, Tennessee, bought in 1956 for his parents with the royalties of “Heartbreak Hotel.” The King only lived there for thirteen months, but from May, 1956 to May, 1957 he became Elvis, at least the early Elvis as the world knows him. While living here, he recorded “Hound Dog,” appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, bought his mother a pink Cadillac, and played touch football with the neighborhood kids. Audubon Drive in the 1950’s was a new neighborhood right at the edge of Memphis — the suburbs. It was an upper-middle class, almost all-white neighborhood, full of successful professionals and tons of children.
