Vat No 128 5916 48 2nd SPECIAL SALE OF STORE CATTLE – THURSDAY, 12 TH APRIL 2018 – expect 150 - 200 Thursday 19th April 2018 – SPECIAL CATALOGUED BREEDING CATTLE SALE – Entries being taken SALE INFORMATION Vendors please note that all cattle born after 1st January 1998 must be double tagged and accompanied to market with their own fully completed passports. All store cattle should be penned by 10 am and selling will commence at 11.30 am approx. Fatstock should be in the market well before 10am. The market will be open at 6.30am approx. Refreshments are available. CONDITIONS OF SALE All heifers are assumed to be clear of calf on the day of sale unless it is announced to the contrary. If (i) within 6 calendar months after the day of sale a heifer warranted as aforesaid proves to be in calf and (ii) within 6 calendar months and 5 days after the day of sale the purchaser gives written notice to the Auctioneers that such a heifer has proved to be in calf at the date of sale either (a) the vendor shall pay to the purchaser a sum equal to 25% of the purchase money to cover all losses or (b) the purchaser may return such heifer(s) and her calf (if any) to the vendor who will reimburse the purchaser with the full amount of the purchase price (purchaser to pay for return haulage). All steers are assumed to be properly castrated on the day of sale but if any have been imperfectly castrated and no announcement to this effect is made by the Auctioneers at the time of sale, then the purchaser shall be entitled to return such animal(s) upon the day of sale or within 14 + 5 days of the sale, but after removal of the animal from the sale yard a vets certificate must be produced stating that such animal(s) are imperfectly castrated (vendor to pay for the return haulage). Vendors are responsible for the correctness of all information relating to the identification of all animals. But by the tender age of 28 he had experienced more than many of us see in the whole of our lives. He was born during the First World War at Lansdowne, Spilsby Road, Horncastle, the fourth child of six and the eldest son. His father was an auctioneer and land agent and came from a family of factors or land agents who had started in Perthshire. His great grandfather, George Bell, had secured the post of resident land agent on the Revesby Estate in 1842 bringing his family to Lincolnshire. His quick open mind fostered an interest in a wide variety of subjects including, centrally, agriculture. It was his perseverance that kept Horncastle cattle market going (perhaps beyond its natural life).

    www.emmausfederation.co.uk Admission arrangements for Community and Voluntary Controlled Primary Schools for 2018 intake The County Council has delegated to the governing bodies of individual community and controlled schools the decisions about which children to admit. Every community and controlled school must apply the County Council’s oversubscription criteria shown below if they receive more applications than available places. Arrangements for applications for places in the normal year of intake (Reception in Primary and Infant schools and year 3 in Junior schools) will be made in accordance with Lincolnshire County Council's co‐ordinated admission arrangements. Lincolnshire residents can apply online www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/schooladmissions, by telephone or by requesting a paper application. Residents in other areas must apply through their home local authority. Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools will use the Lincolnshire County Council's timetable published online for these applications and the relevant Local Authority will make the offers of places on their behalf as required by the School Admissions Code. In accordance with legislation the allocation of places for children with the following will take place first; Statement of Special Educational Needs (Education Act 1996) or Education, Health and Care Plan (Children and Families Act 2014) where the school is named. We will then allocate remaining places in accordance with this policy. For entry into reception and year 3 in September we will allocate places to parents who make an application before we consider any parent who has not made one. Attending a nursery or a pre-school does not give any priority within the oversubscription criteria for a place in a school.
