Dayton, Ohio - Rookie Alex Kock’s put-back with four seconds remaining proved to be the difference as Wright State held of a UIC rally for a 61-60 victory at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. Flames senior Aaron Carr (14 points) had a three-point attempt for the win at the buzzer, but the 22-footer rimmed out. UIC was paced by senior Cedrick Banks’ 16-point effort. Seth Doliboa led the Raiders with a game-high 17 points. The Flames trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half, but battled back to take a 60-59 lead in the final seconds on a steal and lay-in by Banks. Senior Martell Bailey had a chance to advance UIC’s lead with 16 seconds left, but he missed the front end of a 1-and-1, setting up Wright State’s final possession.
