What is Regulated Housing? a. Regulated Social Housing is part of the South African government’s housing subsidy scheme to promote rental at more affordable rates in bespoke locations. It provides a rental option for people who were previously excluded from areas with a lower income bracket, the opportunity for access to better services such as schools, clinics, public transport, and employment opportunities. 2. Is there a difference between regulated housing and social housing? a. No social housing is regulated by the government therefore regulated housing and social housing is of the same meaning. 3. How many units will be available? a. 314 units will be available in a staggered approach. In other words, different block of Phase 3 will be available until August 2021 4. What are the different apartments on offer? a. 94 studios b. 63 one-bedroom apartment c. 157 two-bedroom apartments 5. How much must I earn for Bothasig Gardens? a. earning between R1 501 - R15 000 per month 6. If my partner earns the same amount, will we qualify? a. No, a household should earn between R1 501 - R15 000 per month. If you earn more, you would not be grouped as a social housing candidate. 7. Why should I choose Bothasig Gardens? a. It is a well located complex, close to CBD and important amenities, N1, Canal Walk, clinics, and other health facilities in close proximity. 8. Are there any parking bays? a. Yes, there are 180 parking bays. 9. What makes Bothasig Gardens different? 10.     3. U12-U17 League Football Overview The significant changes to these age groups is that there will be leagues for each year group up to U15 i.e. - U12, U13, U14, U15, U17. There will not be any changes to rules or regulations, and promotion/relegation from leagues will continue to be based on the final standings of each age group, as per the current mechanism. There will not be any changes to the U17 league structures in 2014, and promotion and relegation will continue as before. Rules and Regulations will remain unchanged with one important exception: U12 matches will be played with a Size 4 ball. Size 5 balls will be used from U13 up. Determination of Leagues for 2014 • U12 Leagues - to be based on U11 final logs from 2013. From 2015 onwards, the U12 leagues will be based on the previous season's U12 final log standings. • U13 Leagues - to be based on U13 final logs from 2013. From 2015, U13 Leagues will be based on the previous year's U13 final logs. • U14 Leagues - to be based on U13 final logs from 2013. From 1st Bergvliet, 1st Pinelands and many others http://www.scouting.org.za/capewest/heritage/scar WESTERN CAPE Scouts Cubs and Rovers SCaR 44 st st st Sat 13 to Sun 16 Dec saw a Retro Banquet and camp by 1 Wetton, camps by 1 Rosebank, 1 Claremont and 3 Pinelands Cubs at Hawequas To end the year 2014 on a high note, 1st Wetton set off to spend Sat 20 December visiting and touring the West Coast Fossil Park, where actual Dinosaur fossils are being preserved and discovered. Then to start the year with a bang, 2nd Plumstead toured the SAS Spioenkop warship frigate in Simonstown during their Troop camp – with thanks to Craig Burchell-Burger who organised this eye-opening trip for the Scouts. AF Mid January saw 1st Pinelands on a Troop camp of 8 days in Tulbagh with a record breaking 10m flagpole (all planes were diverted during the camp ).
