Our keynote speaker this year will be Kristin Beck, a retired United States Navy SEAL with 20 years of experience on special operations teams, including SEAL Team Six. Kristin came out as a trans woman in 2013 and has been a key voice in the fight to end LGBTQ+ discrimination.
About Kristin Beck: Kristin Beck is a retired United States Navy SEAL, who served for more than 20 years in the Special Operations Forces. For her service, she has been awarded more than 50 ribbons and medals, including the Bronze Star with valor, the Purple Heart, and two Defense Meritorious Service Medals. Now a civil rights activist, Kristin gives speeches and lectures at various events around the country. She continues her "new mission" fighting for equality for all Americans. A documentary of her life, Lady Valor: The Kristin Beck Story, aired on CNN in 2014.
