CP000329 Traffic Ctrl: Barnsdale- Strampel, Implementation 4,100,000 The intersection of Barnsdale @ Prince of Wales met 100% of the warrant for the installation of a Traffic Control Signal (TCS) based Dec-2020 Prince of Wales Matthew C on 2017 traffic count. The Council has directed staffs to consider roundabout as one of the possible alternative traffic control measures at newly warranted intersections.

A functional design study of this intersection was conducted to determine the most appropriate control type (signal or roundabout) to be used and the network modifications required to support the appropriate control type. This study was completed earlier this year in April. Red Green Green Green Green Based on the evaluation criteria used to assess the two proposed intersection control options, the roundabout design ranked higher in terms of safety improvements, site access, utility impacts, land requirements, and costs. As a result, installation of a single lane roundabout was identified as the preferred option for this intersection.
