(the “Company”) as of 31 December 2004 and the related statement of income for the year then ended. These financial statements are the responsibility of the Company’s management. As an independent auditor, our responsibility is to express an opinion on these financial statements based on our audits. 2. According to article 50(a) of the Capital Market Law (VII.), insurance companies have to comply with their own specific laws and regulations in matters of establishment, auditing, supervision, accounting and financial reporting. Therefore, the attached financial statements have been prepared according to the prevailing the Turkish Insurance Auditing Law No. 7397 applicable to Insurance and Reinsurance companies and Individual Retirement, Saving and Investment System Law No. 4632. 3. We conducted our audit in accordance with the Law No. 7397 of the Turkish Insurance Auditing, the Law No. 4632 of Individual Retirement, Saving and Investment System and International Standards on Auditing. Those standards require that we plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free of material misstatement. An audit includes examining, on a test basis, evidence supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements. An audit also includes assessing the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by management, as well as evaluating the overall financial statement presentation.
