Major joins the 49ers after spending the last Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team nine years as an assistant coach to at Ohio State (6 years) and Xavier (3 years). At Ohio State, he was part of a staff that reached the 2007 NCAA title game and the 2010 Sweet 16 (and also won the 2008 NIT Champi- onship). At Xavier, he helped the Musketeers to the 2004 Elite Eight, while going to three NCAA 2010-11 Charlotte 49ers Schedule Tournaments in three seasons.
