HAMILTON, ON —Ken and Lucy Halyk celebrated their 60th anniversary of marriage in the Fall of 2013. Ken and Lucy were married on Oct. 10, 1953 at the St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Waterford, Ontario. Fr. P. Ulan served as the parish priest at that time and served the Sacrament of Mar - riage. They were blessed with seven children: Karen, Kim, Rick, who reposed in 2007, Annamarie, Nathan, Susan and Judy. They blessed them with 11 grand - children and 7 great-grandchildren.

The Peresopnytske Gospel Book: Ukraine’s Spiritual Legacy n The Peresopnytske Gospel Book is a famous historical manuscript of old Ukrainian literary language and art. This translation, completed be - tween 1556-1561, uses the language spoken by the people. This magnif - icent Gospel Book is a large thick bo- ok with 482 pages and weigh ing 9.3 kg.
