Transfer Guide Mott Community College and Madonna University Secondary Education Bachelor’s Degree Requirements at Madonna University A student pursuing a Secondary Education Program will choose a major at Madonna University from one of the following: American Sign Language, Art Education, Biology, Chemistry, English, Family and Consumer Sciences, Integrated Science, Mathematics, , , Social Studies, or Spanish.

The other components of a Secondary Education Program are professional education courses (34-42 s.h.) and an additional minor, chosen from: American Sign Language, Biology, Chemistry, English, History, Mathematics, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Spanish, or Speech. (Of the majors listed above, art education integrated science, and music education do not require an additional minor.) • The Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) will satisfy all Madonna University core courses. MTA does not satisfy Madonna University signature courses.

• Madonna University will transfer a maximum of 74 credits from community towards the minimum total of 120 semester hours needed for a first bachelor’s degree. Courses must be approved for transfer, non-remedial, and have a grade of 2.0 (“C”) or higher. Students pursuing a course of study under an existing articulation agreement should contact Madonna University’s Articulation Specialist, [email protected], in the Office of the Registrar to discuss approved and maximum credit allowances.

• Students who are pursuing or who have earned the MACRAO Transfer Agreement should contact Madonna University, as the requirements in the Core Curriculum will vary.
