His children had been healed of autism. That is a dramatic statement. Healed as a word often implies that it was instant, it wasn't in this case, but it was a healing. Their testimony displays the life of true heroes of our Christian faith, as they have pursued something not just in a moment but for years. This is an extraordinary story written as a dialogue between a husband and wife. The beauty of their trust in each other, the way in which they experienced God together and separately is so encouraging, yet it includes the trials of the journey, the reality which any who are traveling a similar path need to know. It is not sugar coated but it is in its authenticity good to eat. You may have a similar need in your life and family or you may not, but the message is the same, pursue Jesus on your own and together as a couple, don't ever quit on God, and watch and wait as he will be with you on your journey. It is a story of facing the toughest of decisions and yet never giving up, fighting the pressures of how others may see you but choosing to know how Jesus sees you. Perhaps you face something impossible in your life. I encourage you to read this book. As you read you will see the way in which God used so many aspects of this families lives and experiences to bring about a victory. From a large conference to the silence of a retreat all mixed with the realities of raising their children. It is a courageous story and I am certain that the reader will find their own comparisons but more importantly, they will see the often mysterious ways in which God moves in our lives. My agreement to write this foreword was because we so desperately need an answer to autism and other similar battles in life. This family’s story is encouraging to say the least but it is also real. It doesn't leave anything out, it explains the challenges, the conflicts the relational tension in a family fighting together but sometimes being thrown into a ‘fight’ with each other. Above all, it is a tenacious testimony, an example of process and miracles, of hard work and revelation, of patient pursuit and one couple standing together, lifting each other up and not just seeing light at the end of their tunnel but getting to experience it as a whole family. Paul Manwaring Senior Leadership Bethel Church, California Biographies Jeroen & Alma Doorn Jeroen Doorn was born in 1974 in The Hague, The Netherlands, in the family line of Rev. Willem Doorn. Jeroen was raised in the Christian faith, and in 1992 he gave his life to God. In 2001, Jeroen obtained a master’s degree in Social Sciences at Utrecht University, with a major in group dynamics and conflict handling. In 2005 and 2009, respectively, he obtained two additional masters with focus on corporate auditing. In 2012, after being employed for 15 years as consultant and manager at several international corporations, he choose to quit his job to seek restoration for himself and his family. Since the healing of his children in 2014, he has a fulltime ministry which focuses on prophecy and healing. Alma Doorn was born in 1973 in Leek, The Netherlands. Alma was raised in the Christian faith as well, and in 1990 she gave her life to God. In 2009 she obtained a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. Since 1997 Alma works in positions related to finance and administration. Besides that, she is a treasurer at, and treasure to, multiple foundations in the body of Christ. In 2014 she established God’s Inheritance Foundation, together with Jeroen. From this foundation she supports Jeroen spiritually and practically in his ministry. .

Hoe aardig het ook was dat de hoogge• leerde je aansprak met 'commilitones ornatissimi' (geachte strijdge• noten), toch merkte de student van dat 'medestrijders' niet veel meer dan het 'scribatis' (schrijf maar), gevolgd door een slaapverwekkend gedicteer uit een veelal vergeeld schriftje. De lange tijd, die het duurde voordat het latijn als taal der geleerden geheel bij het lesgeven was afgeschaft - in 1817 werd het eerste verzoekschrift tot afschaffing ingediend, in 1874 kwam er vergunningafvoortaan in het nederlands te promoveren - laat zien hoe behoudend de Universiteit kan zijn, hoe star haar tradities, ook al staat een nieuwe tijd te dringen. It deals with topics and resources that have never been systematically examined for this region: gramophone records and radio broadcasting from the years before World War II, the last years of Dutch colonial control. The gramophone records are our only documentation of the sound of Indonesian music in the years before World War II. This dissertation tries to identify (and to some extent provide) the information one needs in order to understand the records and, by extension, stylistic trends during the pre-war period.
