What was the trigger behind it? What turned you on? Was everything just a farce, when you believed it was love? Who was gaining in this game? Who had the right instincts? “The Bear” takes you on a journey between rational and irrational, between keeping up appearances and following your basic instincts. Survival, in so many different aspects... Nothing is like you would expect to be for this new revival of Chekhov's play “The Bear” . The screenplay takes you back to the basic instincts of the human being. We did evolve through time, but no major factors really changed. You will be surprised to discover how in our complicated life, some important things can slip our attention, although our instincts might still be good. “The Bear” exhibits the story of a rather determined creditor trying to collect his debts. Is he stepping into a kind of trap? A instinctive battle of sexes of unquestionable comedy! Chekhov's incomparable sense of humour, which is satirical, ironic, even grotesque at times, is portraying for us the ridiculous, but also the simplicity, in everyday life.

It is the village of Chelsea, in the amazing city of London, one of the major capitals of the world. Chelsea is the place where dreams can come reality. Beautiful people, houses, churches, monuments, museums, parks, shops, cafés, bars and all the posh clubs... Two types of people: filthy rich and the very ambitions ones, professional or gold diggers. Everybody loves to enjoy himself or herself, have fun. But what fun means in Chelsea? Different things for different people, but for most people having fun means getting laid. For guys is fine, they believe in changing women like socks, but the girls... the wealthiest of them are called sluts, the ones that are fishing a rich man to marry to or at least pay their bills are called hookers. Funny or weird, we all do exactly the same thing, but in different ways. Such a mixture of people! Sadly, normal sex is boring, so what is fashionable now a days? Not a new sex toy, but a very ancient custom: orgies! Yes, Romans were here, too. It's all about money, sex, alcohol, drugs, cars, and designer clothes. If you are not wearing the last collection of whatever designer, you do not belong here. Yes, we live in a superficial world...

The father Ian is in prison. The mother Karen has to bring up a family of four children by herself. Filmed over a period of five years, EVERYDAY uses the repetitions and rhythms of everyday life to explore how a family can survive a prolonged period apart. It is, in part, a response to the usual way cinema portrays the passage of time. The film unfolds in a series of visits: first the family visiting the father in prison, later the father visiting the family at home. With each visit the distance between the children and their father becomes harder to bridge. By avoiding the normal cinema conventions of time passing, EVERYDAY focuses on the small subtle changes as people grow up and grow old whilst being apart. It is a story of survival and love, a celebration of the small pleasures of everyday life.

Fifteen years later, on the death of his father, Tim returns home to Somerset, accompanied by his girlfriend LUCY to run the family stone masonry. But there is a sinister undercurrent to the idyllic village setting that seems to harbour a dark secret. People have been disappearing, and it all seems to be centred around the old WEBBER STONE QUARRY. Tim reunites with his old friend Baggy and when, to their dismay, tragedy strikes, the villagers are quick to lay the blame on them. Dear MRS DUNSTAN is killed and ... incredible as it seems ... the evidence points towards a horrific death-by-crocodile. In the villagers' eyes, it can only be Tim and Baggy's fault and it appears that the time has come for both of them to pay for their actions of years ago. Those crocodile eggs that came home with Tim hatched. When they got too big, UNCLE STAN, an aggressive loner was supposed to give them to the zoo. But Uncle Stan had other ideas. Secretly, he took them to an isolated lake to live naturally. The only snag though, was that as his “beauties' grew much bigger, the offal from the village butchers was just never quite enough for the croc's appetites. That's when locals and farm animals began to disappear and the villagers started to think something evil was afoot. There ensues a massive hunt for the beast that surely killed dear Mrs Dunstan. A crocodile is heroically captured and the villagers rejoice, happy to have safety restored to their sleepy village. But Tim and Baggy know there is more to the horrors in the village and by the time they are able to investigate the evidence and guess, to their horror, what (or who) is behind the disappearances, it is almost too late. Uncle Stan and his partner in crime, CAESAR (butcher's son and social misfit), abduct a local girl, followed by two of the masonry workforce and finally Tim's girlfriend, Lucy. Now, with Tim at the helm, the whole village is incited to action and they take on Uncle Stan, Caesar and the crocodile. An almighty fracas ensues with Uncle Stan meeting a snappy end and Caesar being captured and sectioned. Tim and Baggy right the wrongs that they set in motion all those years ago. The villagers happily return to their lives. Peace again settles over the community....Or does it? Could that be the cute chirp of croc babies hatching we hear?

Graham SYNOPSIS A group of international computer science graduates celebrate in a villa in Spain, unaware their futures are being determined by a twisted global anti-social network, masterminded by one or more of them. Upon graduating, a group of new friends arrive at an idyllic but isolated villa, hidden amongst a valley of olive groves. Oblivious to the hidden cameras recording their every movement, they are unknowingly part of a live reality show, where the online viewers can play out their most twisted desires. In the dark recess of the web, www.HumanBid.com is the ultimate anti-social network. FRIENDS can view the Live Feed and vote on deaths of the inhabitants in accordance with film choices provided, but SHAREHOLDERS can submit their own plotlines and unique deaths. Voting Coupons are available to buy on tap through a secured payment system. In the villa, passion and jealousy are lubricated with alcohol, and after a night of partying, an insane and horrific accusation is made- the truth of which is only known to the online viewers. As people disappear, reasonable excuses do not alert the inhabitants. Brian and Casey, unable to keep their hands off each other, always threatened to go rogue and find a secret nesting spot. Hot-headed Patrick has good reason to take some distance, after the awful accusation thrown upon him by Sarah. Snobbish Bree and social climber fiancée Forest were always meant to leave on their private Five star holiday. It takes an accident for heroine Amanda and ex-Formula 1 driver Max to put disputes behind them and join forces, as they discover the plethora of cameras hidden in the crevices of the villa. Left without a car, they await local contact Diego, a mercurial character whose only interest seems in bedding superficial and sex-hungry Molly. As Diego drives them to confront the landlord, Amanda and Max cannot know they will soon be meeting their surviving friends and The Executioner in THE CELL, playground to their online fans. All characters are tested to their limits as connected pasts emerge and brutal survival choices are forced upon them. Who will do what and to whom in order to survive? Who is behind the billion dollar anti social network? And will anyone make it out of the olive groves alive?

Dickens - famous, controlling and emotionally isolated within his success - falls for Nelly, one of three sisters - all actresses. The theatre is a vital arena for Dickens - a brilliant amateur actor - a man more emotionally coherent in his work, or on stage, than in life. Nelly, in some ways a muse for Dickens, becomes the focus of his passion. For both of them, secrecy is the price, and for Nelly a life of "invisibility".

With the help of his best friend and cynical, child-hating high school teacher, RODDY, he sets about trying to dismantle the things in Jane's life that make her happy. Meanwhile, Jane's block spirals out of control - to the point where her fictional characters, twiddling their thumbs in the not-happening novel, intrude into her real life. Her heroine, DARSIE, is terrified that Jane won't give her the ending she desires because Jane has given up on her own happy ending. Will Tom, or Darsie, manage to get Jane writing again, and create a happy ending for everyone?

Cannes Marché 2013: UK Films for Sale 39 One Square Mile TPhelan Good Film Genre: Drama Kevin Phelan +44 7949 440787 Director: [email protected] Status: Development Home Office tel: +44 7949 440 787 Synopsis: One Square Mile is a gritty, contemporary and poignant multilayered drama; all set within one area of South West London. Located in the present day, it follows a series of misplaced characters from a wide range of backgrounds as their lives cross paths. Kingsley is a small time council estate drug dealer, who missed out on a childhood and lived the all too familiar 'robbing hood'. But after striking up an unlikely friendship with ex-thespian Clarence, during 'Community Payback' in the cemetery, he realises he has bigger dreams. Unfortunately, due to business commitments and jealousy amongst his peers, it means leaving his current life which comes with its own risks. Jahmal is a rich playboy for whom money means nothing. However, he gets more than he bargained for when a beautiful model re-enters his life. A shocking decision under pressure sends him on the run and his family's wealth simply isn't enough to save him from the looming darker forces. George is a cab driver with hopes of becoming a father one day, until his life is torn apart through no fault of his own. But with the love and support of his wife he finally faces the world again and finds redemption to fulfil his dreams. Emily is a wife and a mother, but she feels miscast in a role she just can't seem to get to grips with. It doesn't help that her estranged husband Max is on the brink, how much pain can one man suffer before he cracks? To save him, she first needs to find herself again and get her life back, which has been slowly slipping away. All of these interconnecting stories, proving that one can often be loneliest within a crowd. As tension mounts, relationships are strained, loyalties are tested and violence erupts. However the underlying message of the film is one of hope and that by working as a community things can only get better. Inspired by Crash and Amores Perros and based on real events, One Square Mile is a moving and gripping portrayal of modern city life, which should resonate with everyone.

Together they set off for America on a journey that would not only reveal the extraordinary story of Philomena's son, but also create an unexpectedly close bond between Philomena and Martin. It is a compelling narrative of human love and loss that ultimately celebrates life. Coogan has described the film as “A comic tragedy or a tragic comedy. It's about two very different people, at different stages of their lives, who help each other and show that there is laughter even in the darkest places.” The Lost Child Of Philomena Lee was published in 2009; it acted as a catalyst for thousands of adopted Irish children and their 'shamed' mothers to come forward and tell their stories. Many are still searching for their lost families.

He's only fifteen, he just can't believe he's in love; he hasn't even spoken to her. One thing he knows is that he's got that butterfly feeling in his belly. Surely this can't be love? His older brother David has a hard-knock reputation around town, his Mum Barbara has been getting by for years as a single parent and his 14 year old sister Marie has got into a sexual relationship with someone she shouldn't have. As for Chris's friends - aspiring Del Boy Kish, cocky rogue Zeb, simpleton Snowman and Keeley's best friend Chantelle are always keeping him in and out of trouble. He's also got the local thugs Spoonhead, Cod-Eye and Golden Graham on his case. Chris's feelings for Keeley have sharpened his thoughts and given him a focus.
