I am a highly motivated and versatile professional Stage Manager, comfortable in a client-facing role, providing high quality technical services to the professional music and events industries. I am also a Drum and Guitar Technician. I am a creative problem solver, interpreting clients’ requirements and providing effective resolutions. I have a compulsion for accurate timekeeping and the flexibility to achieve it.

 I have practical experience of touring throughout the world.  I have assisted tour managers with advancing shows and planning logistics.  I have project administration skills including MS Project.  I have an extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience

2014 - Current Freelance Stage Manager and Backline Technician

 Contracts include ‘Cast’, The Chris Norman Band’, ‘Boomtown’, ‘Focus Wales’ , ‘Festival No.6’, ‘Liverpool Pride’ and ‘Rock the Park’  Stage Manage and act as backline tech as required.  Assisting in the planning of events and festivals including advancing acts and obtaining Technical Riders.  Provide FOH and Monitor Engineers with Mic Charts and Stage Layouts where applicable.  Liaise between organisers, tech supplier and acts.  Lead the stage crew in change-overs and stage resets.  Keep acts running to agreed show-times.

1976 - 1995 Freelance Tour Manager, Stage Manager and Backline Technician

 Contracts included ‘XTC’, ‘Toyah’, ‘Terence Trent Darby’, ‘Motorhead’, ‘Lloyd Cole and the Commotions’, ‘Wang Chung’, ‘The Bee Gees’ and ‘The Tom Robinson Band’  Plan, cost and implement logistics for personnel and equipment travelling worldwide.  Stage Manage and act as backline tech as required.  Interview and hire of personnel.  Hire and purchase of equipment.  Keeping tour accounts.  Advancing gigs.
