ART CART - CELEBRATING 46 YEARS!

O The Art Cart is a free, drop-in traveling art program that provides creative art-making experiences to children ages 3+ and their families.

U Art Cart is a partnership program of Madison Museum of Contemporary Art and Madison School & Community Recreation. In response to current health guidelines, we are pleased to offer Art Cart ArtKits for families to take home to complete. Directions for each kit are posted on the MSCR YouTube Channel and MMoCA’s T website. To pick up an ArtKit, which includes supplies and instruction for to-go creative activities for families, look for the colorful Art Cart van at parks listed in this schedule. Adapted programs are open to individuals with disabilities ages 18+ and their caregivers, families and friends. Participants 14+ may register O if accompanied by a participating caregiver and/or adult. Caregivers/ adults must stay with the 14+ participants at all times during program. All participants, including caregivers, need to register individually. Fees for caregivers/adults are waived. U CITY CLUB Enjoy a variety of socially distanced activities each week. Meet new friends while enjoying activities led by MSCR. Arts & crafts, fi tness activities, fi eld T games and other fun and engaging activities are planned by staff weekly. Enjoy the city of Madison from the water on an MSCR Pontoon Boat Ride! O MSCR maintains 3 pontoon boats at the Tenney Park Boat House (1615 Sherman Ave) offering opportunities to get on the water through drop-ins, private reservations and speciality trips. Locations and times vary, please review descriptions below. Boats are wheelchair accessible, and Tenney Park is our only accessible loading/unloading site. All other locations are not wheelchair accessible. Smoking, vaping, chewing tobacco, alcohol and weapons are prohibited on property or boats. Boats are equipped with safety equipment, fl oatation devices and deck chairs. We highly encourage all participants to wear a face mask that O covers both their nose and mouth for the duration of the trip. AGE O 18 years and older (16 for summer softball and 15 for baseball). High school students are not eligible for fall or winter volleyball, fall softball, and fall or winter basketball leagues. RESIDENCY O 50 percent of the team roster must reside within the Madison Metropolitan School District. FEES Cover the cost of offi cials, facilities, awards, supplies, scorer-timers and league administration. All games for a given league are played on the same night of each week. Teams self rate their skill level and are placed in a league of comparable ability, whenever possible. Teams play a double round robin R schedule unless it is a short season (fi ve games for fall softball and fall basketball), with the fi rst round winner playing the second round winner for the league championship. Law Regarding Concussion Prevention Wisconsin Act 172 (Concussion Law) states that any child under 19 years of age, who is engaged in an organized athletic activity, athletic game or competition must receive information about the law and return the signed Parent & Athlete Agreement before participating. MSCR is requiring parents to complete forms prior to their child participating in certain programs.
