19-3, Jalan Setiawangsa 8, Taman Setiawangsa, 54200 , Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. JCI NATIONAL PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Dear all JCI members,

Greetings from JCI Malaysia!

Firstly, I’m glad that I have the opportunity to pen a few words in JCI Malaysia E-Pemimpin 1st edition, 2019. I sincerely hope that this publication would signi cantly reach the public, engage with more local partners in understanding our great work of our organization and to collaborate more impactful projects in the near future. My sincere appreciation goes out to Natinal Publications Commission Chairman JCI Senator Vynndy and National Secretary General Wei Jian for their hard work and effort in making this publication possible.

It’s been a hectic but an exciting rst quarter for me as the National President and I believe for many of you as well. For the past few months, we have concluded our National Of cer’s Teambuilding, two National Board Meetings, courtesy visits and many more. Notably, we’ve kicked start the year with our Leadership Summit whereby seminars and workshops were conducted to help Local Of cers to manage their local organisations effectively. We are honoured to have our Deputy Minister, YB and JCI Vice President Kiyoto Kawasaki to witness the rst ever Local Presidents Grand Oath Taking Ceremony during the Leadership Summit.

During March, I’ve represented JCI Malaysia to attend the Asia Paci c National Presidents Meeting in Taiwan. During the presentation, I’ve reported the status of JCI Malaysia and promoted a few National Projects to all National Presidents and invited their members from other NOMS to come participate.

Besides, we’ve also launched the Sustainable Membership Framework (SMF) to all our local organizations to be more systematic in member recruitment, retention and empowerment through tools like positioning and branding. Just like Active Citizen Framework (ACF), SMF will effectively provide sustainable solutions to improve membership strength and engagement.

2019 is an exciting and challenging year, as the world are constantly change, in order to adapt to the changes, our organization will also have to stay dynamic and creative to sustain. There are always so many things to be accomplished with so little time. However, I am con dent that if we practice management ef ciency by identifying priorities and impact levels on all the decisions we make, we will be able to have a productive year.

Let’s together sail against the wind and breakthrough our limits to bring our organization to another level.
