Connecting your PlayStation 4 (DualShock 4) Controller to your PC

First you will need to install the PlayStation controller driver (DS4Windows) for PC:

1. Go to https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows/releases and download the latest version of the DS4Windows driver to your PC. 2. Install the DS4Windows driver by locating the .zip file that downloads, right-click on it and select ‘Extract All…’ 3. Choose a destination to extract the folder - Either your downloads folder where the .zip file was downloaded, or somewhere else on your PC 4. Once the files have been extracted the destination folder will open, and you'll see two files. One, DS4Updater.exe, is a program that will keep the DS4Windows program updated with the latest drivers, so it's worth running this file if you encounter problems later. 5. Double-click the second file, DS4Windows.exe, to begin the setup procedure that will get the PS4 DualShock Controller working on your PC. 6. When you launch DS4Windows for the first time you'll be asked where you want your settings and profiles to be saved – we'd recommend using the default selection of 'Appdata'. 7. A new window will open. Click 'Install the DS4 Driver' to enable you to use the PS4 DualShock controller in Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and . If you have Windows 7 or older then you'll need to click on 'Install 360 Driver' as well.

Then you will have to unpair the DualShock 4 controller from your PlayStation 4:

1. Turn on your PlayStation 4. 2. Select ‘Settings’ from the menu. 3. Select 'Devices'. 4. Select ‘ Devices’. 5. Select ‘DualShock 4’. 6. Select ‘Disconnect’.

Then you can pair the DualShock 4 controller with your PC:

1. Press and hold both the PS button and the Share button on the DualShock 4 to put it into pairing mode. 2. The controller light on top of the controller will flash when it's in pairing mode. 3. Next open up the Bluetooth settings on your PC. In Windows 10, click on the speech bubble in the Taskbar at the bottom-right corner of your screen. This opens up the Action Centre – from there click 'Bluetooth' and then select 'Wireless Controller'. 4. You may be asked to enter a pair code – if so type in 0000. 5. Controller light will remain lit solid once connected 6. Once the REMDR window is open, press the PS button and controller should vibrate once to indicate successful connection.
