TRANSCRIPTION OF SELECTED HANDWRITTEN NOTES FROM FOIP by Dennis R. Young - February 1, 2015

NOTE #1: Below are excerpts from 362 pages of handwritten Scribe Notes provided to me in response to my FOIP request to the Town of High River. These notes were taken by different scribes at the High River Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) during the first five days of the flood in High River - June 20, 2013 to June 25, 2013. I have arranged these excerpts by date. Some of the times are not in sequence and overlap because it appears these notes were taken by different scribes at different times and places in the EOC. I transcribed the notes as they were written and did not try to correct spelling. Some notes were not legibile.

NOTE #2: I transcribed notes that mentioned (1) RCMP involvement in the searches of High River homes; (2) Military involvement and support provided to the RCMP search teams during the flood; (3) Provincial involvement in the decision making process and provincial representatives coming to High River to help during the flood; and (4) Issues of general interest such as flood waters receding, evacuation orders, re-entry plans, blockades, etc, etc.
