FALL 2007 EDITION “Our Next Chapter: Building with Love” The Capital Campaign for the Residents of Saint Simeon’s Episcopal Home Our Next Chapter: Building with Love! project is for the $21.6 MM Assisted Living and Wellness Centers designed to meet today’s challenge of the growing need for affordable, high quality assisted living services that offer personal security and supportive care with a trained and caring staff. The new project will be debt free and is scheduled for completion in April, 2009. The expansion will add a new 71,000 square foot facility with 60 new Assisted Living Apartments, a Wellness Center, and new Activity, Entertainment and Dining Centers. Included in the Wellness Center will be a warm water therapy pool, as well as areas for wellness programs which promote physical, emotional and attitudinal well-being for the Residents. New Activity, Entertainment and Dining Centers will offer 200 Residents, in addition to families and friends, the ability to socialize in beautiful new surroundings. Another major feature in the project will be a second access road to Saint Simeon’s from the east which will be used for commercial and emergency access. A Message from Phyllis & George Dotson Capital Campaign Co-Chairs

ur fundraising effort for the new Assisted Living and Wellness Centers has gone well. Like most current capital campaigns in Tulsa, our project has been confronted with an increased estimate of construction costs. We began our quiet phase of fundraising in April 2006 with an estimated project Ocost of $15 million. After seeing the impact of increased cost on Tulsa’s BOK Center, we raised our construction estimate and fundraising goal to $17.5 million in June 2006. By May 2007, we had commitments for $16 million of the $17.5 million goal. In June 2007, we were surprised by a new estimated construction cost of $21.6 million. We were very fortunate in securing commitments for the first $16 million raised, and we continued to have good support for meeting this new challenge. We returned to our 12 largest donors and asked Phyllis & George Dotson them to consider additional support for our Saint Simeon’s Thanks to the generous support of our donors and attendees project. We are pleased to report that all our lead donors agreed for the Western Days Event, $325,000 was added to our funds to commit to an additional $5.05 million. raised. At this time, we are $185,000 away from meeting our fundraising goal and paying for the new Assisted and Wellness Recap of our Saint Simeon’s Capital Campaign: Centers Project solely from contributions.
