BRINGING BACK THE EXCITEMENT OF TABLE TENNIS IN A SAFE AND SECURE MANNER 4

WELCOMING BACK TABLE TENNIS

2020 has been a challenging year as the global pandemic outbreak brought the ITTF’s event calendar to a grinding halt early in the year. This has affected not just us, but the entire table tennis ecosystem from players to fans.

The ITTF has been working tirelessly to bring table tennis back to the global community in a safe and secure manner. While it has not been an easy journey, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude towards all the stakeholders for their support in these challenging times.

After months of hard work and preparation, the ITTF is proud to be able to finally announce the return of table tennis into the international arena. 5

THE TIME IS NOW: #RESTART

With the pandemic-enforced suspension on the ITTF’s activities since mid-March, it is a priority for the ITTF to kickstart any activities with health and safety in mind. Presenting: #RESTART, a revamped series taking a regional approach to ensure smooth transition from national to international activity for players with support from CTTA. #RESTART will comprise the two World Cups (Men’s & Women’s) and the highly anticipated Finals. Players will compete in the events for world ranking points. 6 #RESTART CALENDAR
