Description: Summer Camp Program In 2016 Camp Oakhurst will have a nine week summer program. The first week will be for adults (approx. age 20 and up) and the next six weeks for youth and young adults (between the ages of 8 and approx. age 25 — attending for two, four, or six weeks). Then in August there will be two separate five-day sessions for children and young adults (ages 6 to approx. age 25) diagnosed with autism. Strictly no alcohol, drug use, or smoking on site or on official activities. Drug/alcohol testing occurs before and during camp season. Lots of recreational events and activities for staff. Total staff 100, 40 international. A ton of rules-no piercings, men need pretty short hair, dress code, no bad language, etc, etc. But when you are here it all makes sense. Description: YMCA Camp Willson is located an hour northwest of the bustling college town of Columbus, Ohio. Located on our 500 acre property is a beautiful glacier lake (canoes, kayaks, SUPs), Equestrian Center, high/low ropes adventure elements, and so much more! We accommodate campers aged 7-16 in traditional and ranch camps to teen camps. Summer camp is 8 weeks long with a week long staff training. Our staff consists of about 50 summer staff from all over the U.S. and the world!

Staff Time Off: Staff receive an evening off a week, most 10-12am off, and about 24 hours off between Saturday and Sunday. During the middle of the summer, we have a half week where staff have 4 days off to recharge for the rest of the summer. Staff Accommodation: Cabins

Staff Qualities: We look for staff that are ready for the best summer of their lives. Staff are an interim parent for the campers and are often looked at as being a "Professional Role Model". A staff member must be empathetic to children and understand that their job is to play and hang out with children. Staff must be caring, flexible, committed, open-minded, and cool under pressure. A willingness to be silly or to laugh at themselves is very important.
