Chris struck out 12 hitters over 9.1 innings as a LH specialist. Christian Aybar: New England College, NH-NCAA DIII Christian started 31 games and hit .292 with 8 doubles, 1 triple, and 4 homeruns. He also stole 15 bases in 16 attempts. Greg Musk: St. Rose, NY-NCAA DII-Scholarship Greg was selected to the 2018 Northeast-10 Conference All-League Team. Musk led the Golden Knights by going 4-3 with a 2.62 ERA throughout a team-high 65.1 innings of work this past season. He fanned 54, walked only 11, and held opposing hitters to a .218 batting average. He surrendered two or fewer earned runs in six of his nine starts. Jake Conroy: Lenoir Rhyne, NC-NCAA DII- Scholarship Appeared in eight games for the Bears and started seven of those games…Jake posted an ERA of 3.10 in 29.0 innings pitched…won three games…struck out 28 batters…allowed opponents to hit .212…posted a season high in innings pitched with 5.0 against Lander…posted a season high in strikeouts with five against Erskine. Leon Babcock: Felician, NJ-NCAA DII-Scholarship Injured Jon Sell: LIU Brooklyn, NY-NCAA DI-Scholarship Injured Brandon Hubbard: Campbellsville, KY-NAIA-Schorlaship Injured 2016 Players Gage Lanning: Canisius, NY-NCAA DI-Scholarship Gage had a strong finish earning after early season injuries forced him in and out of lineup all season. Gage earned All Tournament honors in the MAAC conference tournament. Lanning hit .357 (5-for-14) with 2 home runs, 2 doubles,3 RBI and three runs scored for the Griffs in three games. He was the only player in the six-team field to have multiple homers for the tournament. As a senior Gage started 35 games and hit .298 with 11 doubles, 5 home runs, and 29 runs batted in and won their conference tournament and competed in the NCAA Regionals. Joe Foran: St. Rose, NY-NCAA DII-Scholarship As a junior Joe hit .248 in 33 games with 5 doubles and 2 triples. Joe also stole 7 bases. His senior year Joe led the team in homeruns with 3 and hit .298 with 7 doubles. Joe added 7 stolen bases and led the team in RBIs with 27 as well. Pat Dorrian: Lynn University, FL-NCAA DII-Scholarship *Signed In 50 games played, batted .372 with 16 doubles, two triples, and nine homers...drove in 43 runs and scored 55 times...added 24 walks and nine stolen bases. Second team All-SSC selection...D2CCA Second Team All- Region...ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-Region...NCBWA Honorable Mention selection. As a senior Dorrian was selected as a First Team All- American, finished the season ranked inside the SSC's top-five in batting average (.394), slugging percentage (.798), hits (74), on-base percentage (.471), runs batted in (57), triples (6) and home runs (17). He led the SSC with 160 assists in the field while posting a .943 fielding percentage. He finished the year ranked top-10 in the nation in slugging percentage and total bases (150) while ranking top-25 in home runs and triples. The shortstop paced the Blue and White's offense all season long, reaching base via hit, walk or hit-by-pitch in each of his 49 games played. He ended the 2017 season with a seven-game reached-base streak, giving him a total of 56 consecutive games reaching base safely—the longest streak on record in the SSC's illustrious history. He finished his career on Lynn's all-time leaderboards in batting average (.382, fifth), triples (8, fifth), home runs (26, seventh), slugging percentage (.685, second), on-base percentage (.459, eighth) and assists (306, seventh). Sal Lovaglio: North Greenville, SC-NCAA DII-Scholarship As a junior Sal led North Greenville in appearances when he appeared in 16 games earning 2 starts going 1-1 with a 4.10 over 26 innings pitched. North Greenvillewent 38-15 on the season. His senior season he appeared in 13 games and posted a 4.08 ERA with 2 saves and 17 strikeouts. North Greenville went on to post a 46-10 record and reaching the NCAA DII Regionals. Jake Rouse: Lynn University, FL-NCAA DII-Scholarship In 35 games played, batted .395 with eight doubles, and four homers...drove in 37 runs and scored 32 times...added 13 walks and three stolen bases. As a senior Jake hit .323 with 10 doubles and 3 homeruns with 24 runs batted in. Dan Nuzzi: Lynn University, FL-NCAA DII-Scholarship As a junior Nuzz made 18 appearances...struck out 23 batters in 34.0 innings...posted a 3.71 earned run average and a 5-1 record on the mound with seven saves. His senior year Nuzz recorded 45.1 innings pitched and recorded 5 saves and even started 4 games on the mound. Justin Kiesow: Mercy, NY-NCAA DII Appeared in 37 games with 31 starts. Ranked third on the team with 17 RBI in 109 at bats. Ended season with 24 hits, nine runs and three triples. Had five stolen base. Joe DeSarro: Southern New Hampshire- NCAA DII Joe appeared in 7 games earning 1 start for the Penmen. Over 16 innings, Joe had 13 strikeouts with 5 walks holding down a 2.20 ERA. John Novenche: Canisius, NY-NCAA DI-Scholarship A hip injury forced John to only play in 8 games, he had season ending surgery and redshirted. Came back following season and played in 18 games and recorded 3 doubles. Adam Nell: Utica College, NY-NCAA DIII Nell started 31 games and hit .274 for Utica College. Nell hit 10 doubles, 1 triple, and 3 homeruns with 16 RBIs. As a senior Adam started 26 games and hit .235 with 4 doubles and 3 homeruns. Kody Shaw: St. Rose, NY-NCAA DII-Scholarship Made 3 starts and tallied 12 strikeouts in 11 innings before and injury shut him down for the season. Zach Shaw: St. Rose, NY-NCAA DII-Scholarship Zach started 6 games and recorded a 1-3 record over 33.2 innings pitched. Zach struck out 24 batters and walked 12. Petar Rumora: St. Joseph’s, VT-NCAA NAIA Rumora played in 38 games and collected 93 at bats. He hit .269 with 6 doubles and 16 RBI’s. His senior year Peter hit .279 and led the team with 11 doubles, 2 triples, and 1 homerun. He knocked in 23 RBIs. 2015 Player Jacob Shortslef: Signed with Texas Rangers 26th Round Pick Was committed to Lynn University, FL-NCAA DII-Scholarship Shortslef made his debut on June 24th pitching 2 innings giving up 2 hits but no earned runs. In fact Shortslef ran off 10 straight appearances without giving up an earned run. Shortslef worked long relief, sometime pitching 1 inning or sometimes needed to go 3 or 4 innings. Shortlef went on to throw 35 innings allowing 6 earned runs while striking out 31 batter and only allowing 6 walks. He had a 3-2 record with a save sporting a 1.54 ERA. This was good enough to have the club call him up to Class A after his rookie league season ended. Tashi Terashima: St. Bonaventure, NY-NCAA DI-Scholarship Started 49 games and hit leadoff for the Bonnies. Hit .296 with 9 doubles and a triple with 8 stolen bases. Only had 12 strikeouts over 199 at bats. Marcus Failing: Univ. of Albany, NY– NCAA DI-Scholarship Marcus started 11 games for the Great Danes and went 2-4 including a quality start at South Carolina. Marcus carried a 4.93 ERA as a junior. Joe Nellis: St. Johns University, NY-NCAA DI-Scholarship Threw 35 innings before discovering an arm injury which required surgery and ended his year. Went 2-5 and made 6 starts. Chris Rave: Erskine, SC-NCAA DII-Scholarship Chris was named first team all-conference for an outstanding season as a junior. He played in 49 games and hit .373 over 185 at bats with 16 doubles and 4 HR with 44 runs batted in. Tyler Phillips: Erskine, SC-NCAA DII-Scholarship Tyler started 52 games and hit .302 over 192 at bats with 13 doubles, 3 HR, 38 RBI, and 11 stolen bases. Chad Sinko: Saint Thomas Aquinas, NY-NCAA DII- Scholarship Chad appeared in 12 games and posted a 2.79 ERA over 19 innings with 23 Ks and only 4 BB. Pat Merryweather: College of Charleston, SC-NCAA DI-Scholarship Redshirted Mike Harrington: Erskine, SC-NCAA DII-Scholarship Medical Redshirt Mark Giallanzo: St. Bonaventure, NY-NCAA DI 2014 Player Rob Hardy: Binghamton University, NY-NCAA DI-Scholarship Rob had a strong junior season for the Bearcats going 3-4 as a conference starter with wins over VMI, Hartford, NYIT and also went 5 strong innings against Auburn University allowing only 1 hit and no runs.
