BEAR CLAWS: Morgan State (2-0) enters the contest looking for its first 3-0 start since the 2008-09 team began the season 3-0. The Lady Bears are coming off a 65-57 non-conference win over Saint Peter’s (12/5). The win extended its non-conference home court winning streak to five straight. Ja’Niah Henson scored a team-high 12 points, while Ashia McCalla added 11 points. Nina Carpenter finished with a game-high five blocks to go with eight rebounds and eight points. Morgan State has been led by senior guard Dahnye Redd, who is averaging 16 points and 12 rebounds per game. Henson is scoring 15.5 points and McCalla is adding 10.5 points per game.

A LOOK AT THE MIDSHIPMEN: The Naval Academy (0-3), which had its game at Howard (12/16) postponed, enters the contest winless on the season. The Mids last played on Sunday, Dec. 13 and fell 60-51 at William & Mary. Sophie Gatzounas led Navy with 16 points and added eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
