2021 GOLDEN BAY ROTISSERIE LEAGUE BASEBALL Press Release Number 1140 – September 28, 2021 2021 GOLDEN BAY ROTISSERIE LEAGUE BASEBALL Press Release Number 1140 – September 28, 2021 http://www.sobaysports.com/roto/ Week twenty-six is complete and with one short week to go, some spots in the standings have been decided while others are still up for grabs. TOM’S THUMBS appear to have clinched the 2021 title as they are up to 95 points and have a nine and a half point cushion over the next closest team. The now second place MICHAEL’S MAULTERS lead a group of three teams separated by just one and a half points. The MAULTERS, the ROBIN HOODS, and MEYER’S FLYERS will finish second, third, and fourth, but the order remains to be seen. There is lots of sway in the categories for each team so anything can happen. Another nine and a half points back is our current fifth place team, the GARDEN PARITERS. The PARTIERS have been hot of late, but it is just too little, too late. The PARTIERS will attempt to hold off WILLIAM’S CONQUERORS and the ARTFUL DODGERS for the coveted first pick in the pre-auction draft. Finally, in the race to stay out of the cellar, the FARGIN ICEHOLES have overtaken BART’S TRANSBAY TUBES by two and a half points. The best hitting in the league belongs to TOM’S THUMBS with 52 points. WILLIAM’S CONQUERORS enjoy the best pitching in the league with 50 points. The big gainers for the week were MICHAEL’S MAULTERS (+4) who jumped from fourth place into second, the ROBIN HOODS (+2.5) who remained in third place, and the DOUGH BOYS (+2) who remained in ninth place. The big losers for the week were MEYER’S FLYERS (-3) who slipped from second place into fourth, the TWIN GEMS (-2.5) who remained in eighth place, and the ARTFUL DODGERS (-2) who dropped from sixth place into seventh. The GARDEN PARTIERS won the week with 95 points and now have three and a half weekly wins this year. Four teams finished with 82 or more points. The PARTIERS had the best pitching for the week with 52.5 points (50 Ks, eight wins, two saves, a 3.76 ERA, and a 1.196 ratio). MICHAEL’S MAULTERS had the best hitting for the week with an almost perfect 59.5 points (45 runs scored, 14 HR, 54 RBI, a .303 batting average, and seven SB). Per our rule, a player must play five games at a new position before he qualifies to be posted at that position on a Rotisserie league roster. This includes games played in the major leagues and the minor leagues. Here are the new positions players are eligible to play at based upon last week’s action: Jose Barrero of On the following pages are the major, minor, and roto league transactions which have occurred since your last press release. MLB.COM Adam Duvall, Tyler Holt bookend Reds' win By Adam McCalvy / MLB.com | @AdamMcCalvy | March 18th, 2016 + 166 COMMENTS PHOENIX -- Adam Duvall had three hits for the Reds, including a long, two-run home run, and Chris Carter hit his third homer for the Brewers as the teams battled back and forth Friday at Maryvale Baseball Park. The Reds ultimately prevailed, 7-6. Carter hit a solo home run in the fourth inning, Kirk Nieuwenhuis hit a tying triple in the fifth and Rymer Liriano lifted a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the sixth as part of a middle-inning comeback for the Brewers, who had won four of their previous five games. But the Reds quickly tied the game at 5 in the seventh inning on Jake Cave's two-out single. Duvall, a candidate for Cincinnati's left field vacancy who manned third base in this game, homered to cap the Reds' three-run first inning. Joey Votto also delivered an RBI single in the inning, but all three runs were unearned against Brewers starter Chase Anderson because of an error charged to left fielder Ryan Braun.
