A més, el certamen organitzat per Fira de Barcelona serà l’escenari d’una nova cimera de la indústria de l’automoció a Espanya que reunirà els directius de les principals firmes automobilístiques en un acte presidit per Mariano Rajoy, president del Govern. Amb això, el Saló es confirma com a una plataforma clau per a aquest sector, un immillorable aparador comercial i una cita indispensable per als amants del motor. A més, el 2016 hi haurà 210 milions de vehicles connectats al món -segons l'empresa tecnològica SAP- i el cotxe es convertirà en la quarta pantalla més utilitzada, després de la televisió, els ordinadors, i dispositius mòbils com smartphones i tablets. Unes dades que indiquen que les tecnologies mòbils i la connectivitat seran alguns dels elements que definiran aquest futur. És per això que el certamen acollirà l'àrea Connected Car, un espai centrat en el paper que tindran aquestes tecnologies i en el qual s'oferiran ponències sobre les últimes innovacions en aquest camp i el seu potencial per a les firmes automobilístiques. A més, hi haurà una àrea d'exposició en la qual es mostraran algunes de les aplicacions disponibles en l'actualitat i que els experts consideren clau per al futur de l'automoció. Aquest espai compta amb el suport de la Mobile World Capital Barcelona, una iniciativa per a convertir la ciutat en un centre de referència mundial en tecnologies mòbils. Una altra de les noves zones del saló també tindrà relació amb la innovació, en aquest cas centrada en com utilitzem els vehicles. Urban Mobility analitzarà les diferents modalitats de vehicles i flotes disponibles a data d'avui fent especial èmfasi en models i tecnologies sostenibles. Amb la voluntat de trencar falsos mites, l'espai convida els visitants a experimentar en primera persona com els nous sistemes de propulsió i control de la mobilitat modificaran la manera en què ens movem dins de les ciutats. Disseny Però si la tecnologia és un dels nous factors decisoris en la compra d'un cotxe, el disseny continua sent un altre dels elements clau i el Saló li dedicarà un espai del nom Sketch Car Design. Aquesta àrea, que compta amb el suport de Seat, entre altres marques, explicarà el procés de disseny d'un automòbil i se centrarà en com neix la idea d'un nou cotxe en la ment del dissenyador. Per fer-ho, es mostrarà en directe com els dissenyadors s'esbossen les primeres línies d'un vehicle, com aquests traços es converteixen en un prototip esculpit en argila i finalment en un automòbil real. L'espai repassarà també els noms i creacions d'alguns dels dissenyadors més prestigiosos de la història i del present. Entre ells destaca l'italià Walter de Silva, actual cap de Disseny del Grup Volkswagen, qui rebrà un guardó en reconeixement al conjunt de la seva carrera. De Silva es va iniciar en el món de l'automoció a Fiat (1972-1977), signa des de la qual va anar a Alfa Romeo (1986-1999), per passar per Seat (1999-2002), Audi (2002-2007)i finalment Volkswagen. Seus són models ja mítics com l'Alfa Romeo 156, el Seat Ibiza de 2002, l'Audi A5 Coupé i el Lamborghini Egoista, que estarà present a Barcelona. Capital del motor La coincidència del Saló de l'Automòbil i el Gran Premi d'Espanya de Fórmula 1 convertirà Barcelona en la capital mundial del motor. Les principals marques de vehicles exposaran les seves novetats en el certamen mentre les escuderies més potents es disputaran la victòria al Circuit de Catalunya. A més, el Saló de Barcelona serà el marc en el qual es celebraran diferents trobades per part de diverses associacions del sector de l'automoció. Entre aquestes destaquen, a més de la junta d'Anfac, el XXIV Congrés nacional de la Distribució de l'Automoció que organitzarà Faconauto, el VIII Congrés de Gestors de flotes d’Aegfa i les diverses jornades tècniques de la Societat de Tècnics d'Automoció que abordaran temes com el Gas Vehicular, l'automòbil elèctric, així com les novetats en tècniques i reglamentàries en el carrossat de vehicles. De caràcter biennal, el de Barcelona és un dels principals salons d'automoció d'Europa i l'únic d'Espanya reconegut a nivell internacional per la OICA (Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs Automobiles). The wheels had two sets of wires and a forged central hub, a version known as Tipo 42 RDB (where DB stood for David Brown). The RW3511 wheel was the same except for a pressed central piece. In January 1961 the first wheel with standard central hub and three rows of wires was produced, and Aston Martin requested a wheel with forged central hub for its racing cars.
