Dear U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission,
I am writing the US NRC to request an extension on the comment deadline for Docket ID NRC–2009–0279, for at least six (6) months. NRC is using documents that are unobtainable by the public to decide how much radiation exposure we, and our children, will be asked to suffer. However, industry has the means to easily access these documents if desired. Additionally, many of the referenced documents are long with dense technical text and charts. NRC has taken a number of years to write its proposed rule even with full access to these documents. NRC should, therefore, not expect the public to be able to obtain, read and assess the basis for this rule in a few short months. Therefore, we ask for a 6 (six) month extension for time to comment in a meaningful way.
