 In 1849 reached in  Employee as District Administrator (Collector) in  In 1882 Retired from service as Secretary to  He is known as .  In 1883 on March 1st he wrote an open letter to the Graduates of Calcutta University regarding the inhuman behaviour and sidelining of Indian intellectuals by British Authorities.

 In 1884 he formed INDIAN NATIONAL UNION and he became the

General Secretary.

 A meeting of this union was held at Bombay 28 – 31, December

ALLAN OCTAVIAN HUME 1985.  72 delegates attended in the meeting and only Hume was the non Birth : 06.06.1829 (England) Indian delegate. Death : 31.07.1912 (England) Education: ICS  This meeting decided to change the union name as INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS.  He was elected as the General Secretary of the Congress.  In the history A. O. Hume known as the founding father of INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS.  In 1894 he returned to England.  On 31 he died at England. He was the inspiration and guide of Indian Independence.
