Federación Española de Rugby XV DEL LEÓN - CAMPEONATO DE EUROPA 2 REC 2021: Cuatro tarjetas sentencian al XV del León en Rumanía (22-16) Razvan Pasarica/ FRR Tras un partido en el que las infracciones fueron las protagonistas y terminaron condenando a los Leones, España debe dar por bueno un punto bonus defensivo en su visita a Rumanía. Fue en la segunda parte cuando los de Santiago Santos recibieron cuatro tarjetas en 13 minutos, una de ellas roja a Fred Quercy, lo que hizo que el choque disputado en Bucarest se les pusiera muy cuesta arriba. Sin embargo, a pesar de jugar en inferioridad numérica, los españoles no se rindieron y a punto estuvieron de darle la vuelta al marcador en los últimos instantes, donde se quedaron sin premio a razón de la buena defensa rumana del maul. Con algo de nervios saltó el XV del León al césped del Estadio Ghencea, dispuesto a conseguir la gesta de derrotar a Los Robles por primera vez lejos de casa en el Rugby Europe Championship. En los primeros compases los españoles dominaron y lograron un golpe de castigo en la primera melé. Si bien no consiguieron pasar el balón entre los palos, durante los primeros cuarenta la posesión y la mayor parte de las fases estáticas cayeron del lado de los Leones. Sin embargo, los reiterados golpes de castigo por parte de ambos equipos y el buen trabajo de la delantera local parando el touch-maul español hicieron que los nuestros no pudieran sacar rédito a esta dominante primera mitad. A pesar de la poca posesión y territorialidad que consiguieron cosechar, los jugadores rumanos sí supieron aprovechar sus oportunidades y marcharse al descanso con un empate 6-6. La segunda mitad comenzó de la mejor forma posible. Alvar Gimeno rompía la línea defensiva Boletín nº 23 temporada 2020-21. La nota positiva la aportaron el pundonor y garra de todos Los Leones, que, a pesar del chaparrón, no dejaron de luchar ni de creer, hasta el punto de que en los últimos cinco minutos tuvieron varias oportunidades de marcar y darle la vuelta al encuentro. Partido muy amargo, pero del que no hay tiempo para lamentarse. El próximo fin de semana los hombres de Santi Santos tendrán ante Portugal otra oportunidad de firmar su primera victoria en el Campeonato de Europa 2021 y seguir sumando para el sueño mundialista.     Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) 1. What is a TUE? A TUE provides a Player with authorisation to use a Prohibited Substance or Method to treat a legitimate medical condition/illness whilst continuing to play Rugby. Players with a documented medical condition requiring the use of a Prohibited Substance or Method are required to obtain a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). Without a TUE, Players risk committing an Anti-Doping Rule Violation, an offence that may result in a sanction regardless of the medical circumstances. 2. When should a Player apply for a TUE? a. When a Player is advised by their medical doctor / specialist that they require a Prohibited Substance to treat their medical condition / illness and has supporting medical evidence to prove this. b. When a Player is administered a Prohibited Substance in a medical emergency. In this case the Player is required to apply retroactively for a TUE. Note that a Retroactive TUE will only be granted in emergency situations or in exceptional circumstances where there was insufficient time or opportunity for a Player to submit, or the TUE Committee to consider an application prior to Doping Control. c. In addition to the circumstances outlined in (a) and (b) above a Player should only submit a TUE to either World Rugby or their National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) when they meet the required criteria. 3. What are the criteria for granting a TUE? A TUE will be granted only in strict accordance with the following criteria: a.
