But perhaps none of those involved in this sport has ever been in the spotlight more than UFC president , who has built a reputation not only as one of the most honest, but also one of the most foul-mouthed businessmen on the planet. White's personality is strong, which requires respect. But it also keeps others at a high level of honesty. Many of those who lived up to the expectations of the UFC president set for them have become celebrities (and some even millionaires), but those who crossed the boss ended up feeling like a one-legged man in a kicking contest. Throughout his tenure, White went through some serious wars, despite the fact that he never climbed inside the Octagon. Sometimes the best battles take place outside the cage, though, and these 50 people have learned on their way that off Dana White is not the wisest decision they've ever made. (Note: they are not in any particular order)50. Paul Daley1 of 51Getting Things was started by former UFC fighter , who came to the organization as one of the most hyped fighters across the pond in England. Daley quickly moved to 2-0 in the organization before he was put up against consensus top welterweight at UFC 113. That night, Daley's entire MMA career will change. Koscheck grinded out a decision against Daley, using his to keep the striker to the ground, where he reportedly said some pretty dubious things to his opponent. But Daley's reaction is what cost him in the end as he sucker-punched Koscheck way after the call, causing White to publicly fire him immediately after the event. He did, White bluntly told the media that night. I don't give s---, if it's the best 170-pound in the world. He'll never come back. So far, Dana has stuck to that statement, and Daley has since fought in other organizations, probably for much less money than he could have received if he had just done what he learned as a child and kept his hands to himself after the call.49 Sherdog/SI/ESPN Reporter Josh Gross2 of 51Sometimes, journalists put in the way of sports organizations doing things. Sometimes they show what the organization said would prefer to remain silent. And sometimes, they people off so bad that they get a completely black ball from everything. That's what happened to Josh Gross. Gross and White's back-and-forth battles over the years have been about everything from steroids to gross spoiling results to reality TV show Ultimate Fighter. Gross even recently (albeit vaguely) accused White of intentionally ordering a UFC 137 fight card featuring George St-Pierre, , and B.J. Penn. You idiot I've ever met in this industry, White famously announced at an underground forum. I don't know if anyone has ever seen Josh Gross, but the guy has never done anything sporty in his life. And you only have to see Jeff Sherwood and his staff to know the same thing about them. Oh. 48. Brock Lesnar3 of the 51UFC 100 was arguably the biggest event in the history of not only the UFC, but mixed martial arts in general. The main event featured champion as he defended his title in a rematch against . Lesnar won the fight in dominant fashion, but it was his post-fight interview that sparked a ton of controversy. Bud Light was the UFC's main sponsor at the time, and Lesnar felt disadvantaged that the company did not pay him directly. In his post-match interview, Lesnar announced that he was going to: Drink the light because Bud Light won't pay me. The directly bashing sponsors apparently wasn't taken lightly as he reportedly hit the champion's face about the incident after the event. This was evident at the post-match press conference, when Lesnar's melody completely changed. With Bud Light in front of him, Lesnar spoke candidly. Dana came in and, we had a dog whip session, admitted champion. Me and I apologize. This one blew fast, but it would be fun to be on the fly on the wall while Dana fearlessly yelled at a guy who just minutes ago beat another world-class fighter in bloody pulp.47 Nate Marquardt4 of 51Attention UFC fighters: Are you looking for a sure way to lose your job? Well, your answer is here! Just try a lack of pre-life drug tests because of elevated testosterone levels! Testosterone replacement therapy is legal, but fighter testosterone levels should return to normal levels before their fights. Nate Marquardt failed to properly go about his therapy and ended up missing out on his scheduled fight against Rick Oist earlier this summer. I think it's pretty clear to the fans and everyone else that I'm pretty disgusted with Nate Marquardt, Dana White told the Versus Network. He was cut from the UFC. He won't fight in the UFC anymore. Again, White stuck to his word on this. EliteXC5 of 51Former backyard brawler was set to fight on EliteXC: Heat, but Shamrock had to back off the fight at the last minute because of a cut he received in pre-match sparring. In stepped Seth Petruzelli, a fighter who usually competes at light heavyweight, a last-minute replacement for the fight against EliteXC heavyweight star Kimbo Slice. The fight itself was controversial because of the weight difference, but worse, it later emerged that Petruchelli was essentially told he had to keep fighting against the former backyard brawler. Obviously, it's trying to get another for Slice, which has become a cultural phenomenon. Of course, we now know that Petruzelli ruined the company's dreams by knocking out Slice just seconds before the fight. However, the damage was done, and Dana White was not happy that the company was paying the fighters to fight in a certain way. It's f--- illegal,' White famously exclaimed. 45. John Fitch and Josh Koscheck6 of 51 American Academy teammates John Fitch and Josh Koscheck have long been two of the best welterweight titles in the UFC. Each fighter earned a shot at champion George St-Pierre, but none of them was able to topple the current 170-pound kingpin. However, both fighters have spoken publicly about their desire to get title shots after impressive performances against other opponents. Unfortunately, two teammates flat out refusing to fight each other to help determine who really should be rated higher. Fitch and White was kind of back and forth about this situation at UFC 111 after the event press conference, with White admitting that he was tired of seeing guys from the same camp refuse to fight each other and that he wants to see a fight between Kos and Fitch.Fitch laughed at him while basically saying that the fight would never happen. Unsurprisingly, he hasn't been given a title shot since. 44. Numerous Ultimate Fighter Competitors7 from the 51The Ultimate Fighter series was one of the greatest things that ever happened for mixed martial arts. Not only has he brought some of the best talent currently competing in the UFC, but the series can also be largely credited with the explosion that the sport saw at the end of the last decade. But even the huge success of TUF did not deter the UFC president from expressing his displeasure with some competitors. Numerous fighters including Gabe Ruediger, Andy Wang and Jesse Taylor have been kicking off the show for various reasons including not doing weight and having a complete meltdown outside the house. Needless to say, Dana went on numerous rants on the show and even scolded Ultimate Fighter 10 winner publicly after Nelson claimed that Kimbo Slice received special treatment on the show. 43. Lioto Machida8 of 51Lyoto Machida is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and has earned his place as one of the elite divisions. However, his placement may have fallen after he reportedly asked for money to fight in short order as Evans' intended opponent, Phil Davies, had to give up a knee injury. According to White, Machida took the fight and then demanded an increase in payment for his inconvenience. Obviously, this upset the often volatile whites, who refused to pay that much and instead turned to one of their nemesis, , who gladly received accepted / M-1 Global9 of 51One of the longest-standing rivalry in mixed martial arts was Dana White's rivalry with longtime Pride champion Fedor Emelianenko and his management team at M-1 Global. It was White's obsession to get Fedor signed to the UFC, and he had numerous opportunities to do so after the Pride collapse. However, according to White, it was almost impossible to work with Emelianenko's team on M-1 Global and simply did not want their fighter to compete with the best in the world in the UFC. He got offered a f---load of money, a ton of money, all he wanted, he could go fight in every f---ing Thursday night if he wanted to, White told the media at a conference in 2009. I put my money where my mouth was, put everything in, and tried to make it happen and they come up with an unrealistic sh--. This guy doesn't want to fight the best in the world. 41. Bob Arum10 of 51Boxing promoter Bob Arum recently upset Dana White when he publicly shouted that buying UFC Strikeforce could somehow violate antitrust laws. Being a (albeit indirect) competitor to the UFC, of course, it would make sense for Arum to try to bash what the UFC does. To the misfortune for him, White threw some serious knowledge about each when he responded to the allegations. Bob Arum is copying everything we do, White said bluntly in an interview with MMA Fighting. Bob, you weren't smart enough to do that. You weren't smart enough to do what we did to buy a company like this and basically change the struggling industry forever. Now you cry anti-trust you guys sound like a bunch of crybabies. 40. Jenna Jameson11 of 51With all the warmth that happened between Dana White and former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz over the years, it only makes sense that Tito's outspoken girlfriend, former adult film star , would also get herself involved. The war of words began on when Jameson told White that he should stop whining about Tito who doesn't like and that you're paying him a fortune. In classic Dana White fashion, he just replied: Hey Jenna SHUT f f up and mind your business! He then added, in another tweet aimed at Ortiz himself, to put her on a --- on a leash!!! Jenna Jameson on a leash? Yes, I think I've seen that one before... 39. Cage Potatoes (Ben Goldstein)12 of 51Certain MMA websites and publications have angered Dana White in the past, but perhaps no one has made him more angry than when CagePotato.com Ben Goldstein linked to the leaked photo of UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste in Playboy magazine photography. According to Goldstein, he later received a phone call from the UFC president himself. What are you for scumbags? Goldstein Remembers White Then he went on a verbal tirade, tearing Goldstein to release photos early and ended the call with the promise of f--- you're worse than you were when---lih were f---ed before, and hung up. To this day, Cage Potatoes and the UFC remain on shaky ground. 38a. Joe Cortez13 of 51 (Note: Skip ahead until 8:00 to get to juicy things) The last person to off Dana White was not even someone involved in mixed martial arts, but boxing referee Joe Cortez, who was recently involved in a debacle between Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz. As a boxing fan himself, White hit the officiating in the fight, saying he believed the fight was ruined by Cortez, not Mayweather, as many others have claimed. From the minute the bell rang from the first round, to the minute that the fight ended, Joe Cortez absolutely, 100 percent, f---ing destroyed that fight and ruined it, he told MMA Fighting. 38b. Larry Merchant14 of 51 (Note: Go to 7:00 to get to the rant on Larry Merchant) Continuation from the previous slide, commentator Larry Merchant also upset Dana White because of the outrageous post-fight interview he conducted with Mayweather after the fight in which he told Mayweather that he wished he was younger so he could, Kick Mayweather. A longtime boxing fan, White saw Merchant drop off on crazy rants like this before, but it was particularly insane. Who the hell would want to do an interview with him? White rhetorically asked the media at the post-match press conference of UFC 135. The guy's senile, he's crazy. He's scolding Floyd, but Floyd can't tell you anything? You don't respect guys all your career. And you know what, you can go back to a 60-year-old... You're not kicking Floyd. 37. ESPN15 of 51ESPN branded themselves as a world leader in sports, but they were never willing to take mixed martial arts into the mainstream in their network. Sure, they will at times highlight the outcome of a big major wrestling event, but despite being very popular in the United States, it often seems as though the UFC is there with beach volleyball and women's golf as a sport according to ESPN. But when the deal with FOX came out recently, it was surprising that ESPN was so egregious about their displeasure over the deal. Dana White addressed the situation on Twitter, saying that ESPN has always hated us, and now, they hate us more now that we're on FOX. They canceled my Int the following week for UFC Rio F--- ESPN. He later added that Jim Rome is the only good thing at ESPN. 36. Josh Barnett 16 of 51 (Note: Go to 3:15 for Josh Barnett comments) Former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett was once considered one of the if not the top heavyweight fighter on the planet when he won Couture to become ufc champion back in 2002 at UFC 36. Unfortunately for Barnett, this will also be the last time he will ever compete in the UFC. Barnett tested positive for steroids for the fight and was immediately stripped of the title. He has had a wildly successful career outside the organization, but now that Strikeforce has been acquired by Suffa, his future is once again in the hands of Dana White and the UFC's decision makers. Josh Barnett has tested positive three times, and this guy denies it every time, White told the media in 2010. I just saw an interview that he did the other day where he could really give a sh--about anyone else but himself... And that's why Josh Barnett isn't, and never will, in the UFC. He's not a guy I respect or want to deal with. 35. MMA Judges17 of 51MMA officiating has long been a problem, with countless fights now entirely, because the judges' decisions went to a fighter who was clearly the loser of anyone who was actually paying even a little attention to wrestling. Dana White was so disappointed judging that he publicly came out and hit the entire judicial community for their complete lack of education for judges and obviously horrific hiring processes. I feel like we're not getting the same respect from these sports commissions that boxing has done all these years, White admitted last December after UFC 124. Every time we go to the judges' decisions, I just sit back and go, 'I can't wait to hear this, man.' 34. Dan Henderson18 of 51Former Pride 205 and 185-pound champion was one of the most coveted free agents in the world after his crushing knockout victory over at UFC 100. All signs indicate that Hendo is retiring from the UFC, but it's not quite like that. I pushed him to do it, White admitted against Henderson signing with Strikeforce. I started taking the sh--- off the table, and it made him decide to go with them. It ended with me and Dan Henderson, he continued. Dan probably won't be back in the UFC. He will retire there. Of course, fans and the media alike have been excited recently when we learned that Henderson will be returning later this year to headline UFC 139 pay-per-view against Mauricio Shogun Rua.It it seems that the bad blood between Henderson and White may finally be water under the bridge as they now work together to promote what should be one in a series of great events coming up for UFC.33. George Saint-Pierre's corner of 51MMA's grease-gate occurred at UFC 94 when the UFC promoted a rematch between George St-Pierre and BJ Penn for the UFC welterweight title. The five round fight ended when Saint-Pierre stopped between rounds, winning the fight by knockout, but the controversy came when it later emerged that The Corner of Saint-Pierre had been caught rubbing Vaseline on the back of his fighter, presumably to give him an edge in the fight game. George is in trouble with the commission. The corner got caught rubbing Vaseline all over his back, White said Rashad Evans and , who were present. Someone --- an idiot in the corner. How could you --- do that? It's so --- stupid! 32. and Jared Shaw20 of 51Boxing promoter Gary Shaw became one of Dana White's most hated fighters when he attacked the UFC president for having his promotion, EliteXC, was pinching on the heels of the UFC when it came to the MMA market. Gary Shaw is the F--- loser, White told Yahoo! Sports. And if we were getting competition, it's not from Elite XC and both people who watch their show. This guy's a low-level bottom feeder. He didn't want MMA a few years ago, but when he finally couldn't make money in boxing anymore, he approached the sport to try to leech money out of it. The truth hurts and EliteXC closed its doors less than two years after promoting its first MMA event. 31. Michael Bisping21 of 51 (Note: Go to 5:00 for more on Michael Bisping) Given his popularity in England, Michael Bisping is one of the UFC's biggest cash cows. But even that didn't save him from the verbal whooping cough he took from Dana White after his ridiculous action at UFC 127. According to White, Bisping intentionally lap in the face while he was on the ground, an illegal move, and then proceeded to spit on members of River's corner. Mike Bisping didn't get the bonus, White told MMA Fighting. And believe me, it hurts more than anything else that someone could do. I let him know exactly how I felt about it and what I expect from him in the future and he didn't get a bonus for this latest show. 30. Kimbo Slice22 of 51Back, when Kimbo Slice advertising-train was on an all-time high, there were some (uneducated) fans who believed that the former street fighter might actually be able to compete with the best of the best in the UFC. All together, however, Dana White stood strong from his point that there was absolutely no chance that Slice would be a major competitor in the UFC. He even went so far as to say that the UFC wouldn't even sign him unless he competed on Ultimate Fighter. To his credit, Kimbo ended up trying out on a reality show and actually performed very well despite not winning it. He earned himself a short contract with the UFC, where he won one fight before badly knocking out in his next fight. THE UFC cut it at that point, but even Dana White had to admit that he respects Slice to put aside the salary that he could've gotten a fight for smaller stocks in order to actually take a real hit on competing at a high level in UFC.29. James Toney23 of 51 feuds between boxing fans and MMA have been going on for a long time. Both groups of fans believe their sport is better, and while there is some crossover between them, dislike of the other sport often causes controversy between the two fans. However, as often as the arguments between fans, however, it is rare that a fighter from one sport wants to actually compete in another sport. But that's what happened in August 2010 when champion boxer James Toney began calling out Dana White in the media, trying to get himself signed up to compete in a mixed martial arts organization. Dana White, e---! He said jokingly, flipping the camera on sports soup. Despite a long-held belief that freak shows in MMA are not worth having, White decided to promote Tony against former champion at UFC 118. The fight itself didn't last long as Couture quickly neutralized Tony's boxing, bringing him to the ground, where he then presented it with a hand-triangle choke, taking virtually no damage in the contest. Although Dana has publicly said he loves James Tony, one has to wonder if he actually likes James Tony, given that he put it against a guy like Randy Couture in his first fight. I'll tell you one thing... I like my friends, so I wouldn't be one of them to fight Randy Couture! Again, Dana just gives the guy what he asked for. 28. Rampage Jackson24 of 51 (Note: Cut to 1:45 for Rampage Jackson Info) Dana White's anger with Rampage Jackson is obviously not the last, given that he only recently got another shot at the UFC light heavyweight title, but it's not always a happy day between these two strong personalities. Almost immediately after losing his ufc light heavyweight champion , Jackson led police on a high-speed chase through Newport Beach, . That was only part of the problem though, as Jackson was involved in hit-and-runs before the chase. White obviously forgave him over time, but he was pretty steamy (and rightly so) for a while. 27. Frank Shamrock25 of 51 When first came to the UFC and became the first UFC 205-pound champion, few expected him and Dana White to end up participating in one of the longest and most bitter rivalries that the sport has ever seen. Shamrock dominated the division in the early years, leaving him with no choice in his opinion but to retire as champion because there really were no other real contenders for him. He will work as a commentator for the company for a short time, but there has been bad blood between the two so far. White and Shamrock recently added to the War of Words via MMA Fighting by Ariel Helwani. Shamrock went on MMA hour and badly mouthed White, claiming that the UFC president was the reason MMA was not sanctioned in New York. Dana fired back, insisting that Shamrock tried to fix things with him earlier in the week and that Shamrock is a two-person. 26. Justin Timberlake26 of 51This Justin Timberlake? Yes, it's Justin Timberlake. The UFC president credited teen heartthrob Justin Bieber with being very down to Earth, but won't go so far as to say the same about Justin Timberlake. According to White, Timberlake acted too well to interact with the children who are really his biggest fans. When you see that people treat children like this... he said on the Opie and Anthony Radio show ... --- Justin Timberlake, he's a moron. 25. Jake Rossen27 of 51 One of the most epic rants in Dana White's history came when he blasted on Sherdog writer Jake Rossen. Rossen noted that White's announcement that the UFC is ready to take on the sporting world by 2020 may be a little optimistic. But White wasn't a happy tourist. So basically, what he's just telling me, Jake Rossen, what he likes to do is, he likes to write bull - stories smashing MMA and MMA writers so you fans will continue there and talk about him for a long time, White shouted in the video. Typical F--- bull is a reporter. Jake Rossen, Go F--- yourself! 24. Steve Cofield28 of 51Yahoo! Sport Steve Cofield asked the wrong damn question during a UFC 111 press conference. Frank Mir recently made waves talking about a potential first death in MMA, which really upset White because he believes it's harmful to getting the sport sanctioned in New York. Cofield didn't make the comment himself, but even bringing it back was good enough to provoke anger. Dana didn't even really directly answer the question that Cofield asked, but the reaction on his face really said it all. It was quite obvious that Dana was trying to keep cool in a situation where he could easily have gone mad not only the question itself, but also rather disrespectful, in which he asked him. 23. Pat Miletich29 of 51Pat Miletich, a former UFC fighter and coach of one of the perhaps most dominant teams in the second half of the last decade, had a once pretty good relationship with the UFC president. But things seemed to take a dramatic turn for the worse when Miletich joined the now defunct IFL as one of the team's coaches. White made some disparaging remarks about the entire IFL concept, prompting Miletic to back off, noticing that White and the UFC were making enemies while ifL was busy making friends. I'm sure he thinks that, White told the Kwad City Times. Pat is paranoid and he thinks the UFC is always trying (to mess) with him. 22. His Mother30 of 51 Not everyone knows about it, but the relationship between Dana White and his mother, June White, is one that has certainly been one of the most difficult in his life. His mother actually wrote all the tell about him, which included her calling him a set of personal insults and even went so far as to compare it to Satan's caviar. Yes, it was bad... White commented a little on the situation, nothing that: Me and my mother are very similar, so we don't get along, in an interview with ESPN E:60. 21. Edith Labelle31 of the 51Fans may remember former UFC ring girl Edith Labelle for being one of the most attractive women to ever wear numbered cards around the Octagon. Her smile was memorable and her body was smokin' , but apparently some felt she was celebrating too hard at times. Labelle was set to be one of the girls ring for the biggest UFC event ever, UFC 100, but she never made it to the venue on event night. According to reports and her own admission, Labelle attended the UFC Fan Expo and then went out for dinner before attending some pre-parties for the event. But while she believed she was sick from food poisoning, others seemed to believe she was actually hungover and missed the event because of her own irresponsibility. Dana White himself remained mum about the situation, but of course he and the decision makers within the organization were unhappy, given that Labelle was relieved of the company soon after. 20. Golden Glory32 of 51To long as Dana White went into battle with various managers and fighters throughout his time, he was almost always able to come to terms with them after all. But for now, things between White and Golden management Bass Boone are not smoothed out. The last time we did business with the Golden Glory team was , Dana told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani after UFC 133. The reason for this is that... The way they do business is that you can't pay fighters. You have to pay the Golden Glory guys. He went on to explain that Golden Glory had agreed to allow the UFC to pay its fighters and then get their cuts from the fighters themselves, but when they appeared at the event, their story changed and they were unhappy with the situation. The fighters lost their jobs, and may have quit Golden Glory because of a debate in business philosophy, but one thing is for sure - Dana White and the UFC aren't going to do business with Golden Glory until they decide to match the way the UFC does something.19 Roger Huerta33 of 51Former UFC Roger Huerta made a name for himself by being one of the most talented, entertaining and even market young fighters that the UFC promoted from 2006 to 2009. Although he never held the title, Huerta that he deserved more money than he received during his time in the organization. Does Roger Huerta have a contract problem? What's the problem with his contract? He signed a contract, he has a contract when his contract expires, he will renegotiate a new one, White explained in his UFC 87 video blog. In his case he said: They got me there to do P.R.' Do you think you're making money? You don't make money if people don't know who you are and want to see you fight. I have to pay Roger Huerta to come out and do P.R.? So does it work? 18. Kalib Starnes34 of 51UFC 83 will be remembered for many things, most notably the return of GSP as welterweight champion. But while there were other big fights on the map, unfortunately one of the biggest things we'll probably always remember was former Ultimate Fighter competitor Calib Starnes's action. Starnes was supposed to fight Nate Career that night, but the fans were disgusted, as Starnes literally ran away from his career for most of the fight, refusing to engage himself. Dana White himself not only agreed with the fans that Starnes' actions were unacceptable, but even took another step forward by preparing Starnes after the event. He just doesn't belong in the UFC and after his performances that night, he should consider a new leadership job, White told Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole. 17. Junie Browning35 of 51The Ultimate Fighter contestant Junie Browning is perhaps the most controversial personality that has ever been on the show. His actions constantly caused problems between him and his opponents and even his teammates. White even came to the show and verbally scolded both Browning and other contestants, but decided to keep him around because he believed he saw potential in him as a fighter as well as a man. Although he did not win the show, White and the UFC signed Browning to compete in future events. But after a suicide attempt from prescription pills, Browning went on a wild rampage through a hospital that led to him pushing a nurse, kicking another nurse and punching a male nurse. Upon learning of what had happened, White immediately released an apparently insane Browning in what was a delightful moment for fans who couldn't stand it. Browning has since gone just 1-4 outside the UFC and will probably never be given another chance in the Octagon. 16. Randy Couture36 of 51UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture is one of the most famous MMA fighters ever, but even that doesn't save him from being in the firing line from time to time. After defeating Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 74, Couture announced that he was severing ties with the world's largest MMA organization, contract differences because was reportedly given more money for the previous two fights (both defeats) than Couture received in the previous two fights (both wins). To make matters worse, Couture also listed a desire to fight one of the world's no.1 heavyweights, Fedor Emelianenko, whom the UFC could not sign. Dana, however, didn't believe that these two things were what it was all about. He met some Hollywood agent I, a bitch, hit about a month ago, and these Hollywood agents are parasites, White said UFC.com. This feud actually went all the way to the trial as the UFC claimed that Couture was in breach of contract if he performed elsewhere. Fortunately, they finally came to an agreement and Natural finished his career in the octagon.15. Karo Parisyan37 of 51F from September 2003 to November 2009, was perhaps not a welterweight hotter than Caro Parisyan. The impressive Armenian fighter went 9-2 with wins over Nick Diaz, Chris Little and . But that all changed for the Heat at UFC 94. After winning a split decision over Dong Hyun , Parixyan later tested positive for banned painkillers in a post-match doping test. His career has taken a spiral downward as other rumors about his personal life. The UFC eventually brought him back in November 2010, but he was quickly knocked out by in the first round of their UFC 123 contest. His performance in this fight, coupled with his problems in the past, made it an easy decision for White to free him again. 14. Todd Duffee38 of 51 (Note: Please go at 10:30 to see comments on Todd Duffy) Previous UFC owner fast knockout, Todd Duffy was once considered one of the hottest up-and-coming heavyweights in the company. His UFC debut lasted just seven seconds before his opponent was out and things looked really good going into his second fight with Mike Russov. Duffy ended up losing this fight though, and this will prove to be his last fight for the organization as UFC president was just not impressed by the young fighter. The biggest problem I have with Todd Duffy is his attitude, White told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani. You guys don't see it. You don't know. I'm dealing with tons of guys. We've got hundreds of guys under contract and I've had thousands of guys under contract over the last ten years and Todd Duffy, in my opinion, doesn't look like he wants to be in the UFC. He doesn't like being in the UFC. Let him go fight in smaller organizations and work his way back up if he even wants to work his way back and get back into the UFC. He just got out of the knockout. He was knocked out in a fight and he has a terrible attitude. He's got a terrible one. He can still come back and train and fight in these little leagues and work on his skills and his attitude. Dana hasn't slammed the door on Duffy ever making it back to the UFC, but that doesn't seem very likely at the moment. 13. King Mo Lawal39 of 51Former Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion King Mohamed Loal made some splashes recently when he slammed Suff for their lack of promotion on the last fight card on Showtime.Lawal defeated fellow light-heavyweight prospect Roger Gracie that night, but felt that news of Nick Diaz being removed from the UFC 137 main event seemed to push the actual fight off the front page. Lawal compared Strikeforce to a dying cancer patient, in an interview with Ariel Helwani. That's how I feel as an organization. We're just waiting for him dead to get through. But the UFC president did not graciously claim that he deliberately sabotaged the main event of his promotion in an attempt to remove the headlines from the Strikeforce event. If Mo regardless of the F--- his name, or any of these guys, think I planned it all s--- this week, they're crazy, White told Yahoo! Sports' Kevin Iole. Yes, we signed (Alistair) Overeem and did the Brock (Lesnar) fight. Do you think I expected Nick Diaz to handle it---? We have all kinds of things going on and I don't need it in my life. This is what it is and I never thought in my opinion--- with Strikeforce. But I'm promoting UFC 24/7. 12. Loretta Hunt40 of the 51Perhaps most epic UFC rant ever came in response video after MMA reporter Loretta Hunt criticized the UFC for not allowing fighters managers to be in the locker room with them. White not only completely destroyed the concept, but also went on a verbal tirade, completely tearing apart the character of the writer, sources and previous work. Hey Loretta, if you're going to write a story, you're a f---in' idiot, at least make sure it's f---in' true, and you have some facts out there, it's ranting. And if you're going to'put some f---in' quotes out there, get some quotes from people who have at least f---in' balls put their f---i name on it----.---. F--- you, Loretta Hunt. Oh. Remind me not to get on Dana's bad side... 11. John McCarthy41 of 51 (Note: Go to 7:20 to hear Dana's comments on John McCarthy) Perhaps no figure was more prominent in the early days of the UFC than Judge Big John McCarthy. There were always two fighters in the cage, but it often looked like the muscle-bound referee was ready to step in and put an end to things if his requests were not respected. McCarthy decided at the time that he wanted to stop off officiating and was more interested in other sources of income, but also went to the bash as Dana White and various sports commissions from around the country. Of course, it didn't please the UFC president, who responded by simply stating that the UFC and McCarthy were not in a great relationship, and that what McCarthy did was simply not the smartest thing to do. Things seem to be better between McCarthy and the UFC now as he was spotted in the Octagon again, but as White explained, he doesn't get to decide who the judges are anyway. Perhaps the hostility remains, and it has just been hidden better. 10. Tom Atencio42 of 51Between promoting his own fight and running a successful business, MMA fighter and Affliction co-owner Tom Atencio stepped out of his way to bash UFC President Dana White at a press conference in Biloxi, Michigan in 2009. Some things that were done in the UFC, I don't think it's right, Atencio argued. I think it's time to step up. Sometimes Dana White acts like a fighter, so why doesn't he fight? I never think a fight between him and Tito Ortiz would ever happen,' he continued. Dana acts like an 800- pound gorilla, but she's not. He acts and speaks like a fighter, but he's not. If we're honest, he's a bully. The UFC president fired back at a press conference at the UFC. Tom Atencio is an F--- loser, okay? White proclaimed the crowd that greeted him. He's not a good promoter and he's not a good fighter. On my hay day, if I said I was fighting Tito Ortiz, I'd definitely fight Tom Atencio, okay? But I'm not going to waste my time training for a minute or a minute thinking about Tom Atencio. 9. 43 of the 51Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia was one of the most physically impressive fighters in the heavyweight division history. The giant from Maine was not only a stylistic nightmare because of its size, but it also brought the intensity that several fighters in the division had at the time. Sylvia eventually lost his Frank Mir title, but he would get a chance to fight for him again when he fought Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in the UFC. Although he was represented in this competition in the third round, few expected it to be the last time he ever fought in the Octagon. Mein-Yaak continued the fight in Affliction, losing to Fedor Emelianenko in a crushing manner, and then knocked out Ray Mercer in another very short competition. When rumours emerged that Sylvia was interested in a UFC return, Dana White almost blew up the blow-up with how bewildered he was. Are you kidding me? Does he seriously want to return to the UFC? He hasn't won a fight in years, and when he did he usually put everyone to bed. The only time he's in a thrilling fight is when he gets his running handed to him, White said of his former champion. Look, he just got beaten by about 50-year-olds under 10 --- seconds. How do you expect to be taken seriously after that? He just made MMA look like Joke. If he has any hope of ending his UFC career he will have to go for Ultimate Fighter. There's no other way he gets in. We've seen Dana boot former champions from the organization before, but very rarely have we ever seen him be so outspoken about his true feelings on a guy who was once considered the best in his division in the UFC. It's hard to say for sure, but it should be assumed that something happened more than just Sylvia losing a couple of fights. 8. Steve Mazzagatti44 of 51 Steve Mazzagatti is the worst referee in the history of F---ing fights! That should say it all. While the perception among casual (and even some devoted) fans is that the UFC decides who the judges will be for their fights, that's not really true. The sports commissions themselves are the ones who get to choose who is arguably the most important job (outside of fighting themselves) and they are also responsible for regulating said judges. UFC President Dana White has repeatedly made it clear that Steve Mazzagatti is, in his opinion, the worst referee in all of MMA. I can't stand this guy,' White continued in an interview with Ariel Helwani after UFC 125. It just makes me cringe every time he steps into the Octagon. 7. BJ Penn45 of 51Nex can believe that BJ Penn was given more than any fighter in UFC history, and it's hard to argue. There's no doubt that the UFC has embraced Penn's marketability and used it in promoting him in the lightweight and welterweight divisions. However, there was a time when Penn, as a welterweight champion, got into a big contract dispute with White and the UFC. In a bold move, Penn decided to scrap his UFC contract in favor of fighting overseas for more money. Penn ended ' reign as champion and has yet to make his first defense, but that hasn't stopped him from retiring as a champion, forcing Dana White and the UFC to strip him of the title. I'm looking forward to moving on and crowning the new champion, White just said. This quote itself doesn't say much, but of course the company was dissatisfied with Penn. According to Penn, the UFC president called him and gave him a full ear. You're F--- done! You'll never fight in the UFC again! You're done. You're scorched earth, b----. Scorched earth. Don't call me crying, saying you want to come back because you --- with you! Penn even claims that White even threatened to remove him from the UFC 46 DVD, where he defeated Matt Hughes so no one knew who he was. It's hard to blame Dan for that, but he certainly wasn't a happy tourist about it. 6. Noah Inhofer46 of 51 Ultimate Fighter has his fair share of oddballs, but one of the biggest should be season 3 contestants Inorhofer. Inorhofer apparently received a letter from his girlfriend saying she believed he was cheating on her. The news affected Inorhofer as it would almost anyone else. He was upset and rightly so. But his actions immediately after hearing the news, which caused the biggest problems for his career. Dana White claims he received a notice that Inoifer threatened to leave the show if he couldn't make a phone call to his girlfriend. As you would expect on any show where the results should remain secret, this request was clearly against the rules. Eventually we found out that Inorhofer had only been dating this girl for six months. You will give up the world for her, Dana pleaded in an attempt to get him to reconsider. Here are two options. Screw your head, focus on why you came here and what you're here to do. Go out there and compete in the semi-finals ... Or if it's so important to you and you're ready to leave, I'll fly you home today. Inoifer decided to leave the show and will forever be seen as one of the biggest wusses ever to compete for a UFC contract. After all, Dana must be very happy that Inorhofer is gone and doesn't end up actually winning the show. The guy just didn't have what it took to be the next UFC5 star. Dennis Hallman47 of 5Well... Weird. UFC veteran Dennis Hallman has always looked like a solid fighter, but his personality is usually pretty normal. So that's why his choice of clothes for his UFC 133 bout was particularly unexpected. While most fighters wear wrestling shorts, Hallman opted for a nasty purple Speedo-style pair of shorts that literally left nothing to the imagination at one point throughout the fight. The UFC president did not know that Hallman would be baring everything for the fight and was very upset in numerous interviews after the fight. It was disgusting, he told MMAHeat's Karin Bryant. First of all, I'm that someone that works for me let it come out with those on, number one... It was simple, it wasn't good. It's never going to happen again, I can guarantee it. I'm serious. I seriously gave (Brian) Ebersole a $70,000 bonus... I gave him this bonus for taking it off television as quickly as possible. And it's true. The night didn't end well for Hallman as he was knocked out by Ebersole, but that memory will forever take root in our brains. Thanks Dennis! 4. Anderson Silva48 of the 51Given amount of love that Dana White openly admitted to the ability of Anderson Silva as a fighter, it is hard to believe that there was a time that the PRESIDENT of the UFC was dissatisfied with his champion. But to say that he was dissatisfied, frankly, was a massive understatement. Anderson Silva was so dominant for so long that it seemed almost if he was bored in his UFC 112 bout against Damian Maya. Maya, known for her jiu-jitsu rather than punch, was completely shrouded in legs, but Silva did not have her usual killer instinct. Without a doubt, absolutely, 100 percent, White replied to Ariel Helwani when asked in a postgame interview whether the fight was the lowest moment as UFC president. He even admitted that he had left in the fourth round of the fight and handed the belt to Silva's manager Ed Suarez before telling him: You put it on Anderson Silva. I'm not going to do that. The fight marked the third fight in a row that Silva competed at 185 pounds, in which he could not really engage his opponent. The frustration was obviously mounting and came to a head as White revealed that he and Silva would have a private meeting to immediately decide what the problem was. He feels he doesn't owe the fans an apology, an exasperated white continued. I'm the one apologizing. I didn't go in or fight like a donkey for five rounds. I didn't do what he did tonight but I'm ashamed and I feel like I have to apologize to the fans. 3. Bloodstain Lane49 of 51 I must admit that I still do not fully understand why the president of a major sports organization wasted his time arguing with a real-life troll like Bloodstain Lane, but that's exactly what happened this June when two of them got into it on Twitter. Lane was a longtime White hater, but the UFC president finally had enough and let him have it on Twitter. Upon learning that Lane had allegedly been punched around by a manager at a UFC event, White took ammunition and ran with it. Dana @BloodstainLane's danawhite chose the wrong sport to be a blunt attention slut. If you check curling. Lol BloodstainLane Bloodstain Lane @danawhite... Hey r---y... listen here... When I see you. I'll clap you... Simple and plan ... F--- your attention to slut danawhite Dana White @BloodstainLane when you see me come slap me. Dana White's danawhite @BloodstainLane I buy a ticket and room in or and you can meet me and slap me! U's? BloodstainLane Bloodstain Lane and @danawhite .. sure why not danawhite Dana @BloodstainLane that I follow u. Dm me with your information and I will fly off to Vegas or Vancouver. Let's do it!!! Dana White @BloodstainLane he wants Philly. See you in philly bro Even former champion Frank Mir got involved in the fun. thefrankmir Frank World UFC Anyone else @danawhite punk @BloodstainLane? Awesome! Dana's go apparent slap never happened. Not a big surprise. But it was fun to see Dana White stand up to this fake gangster/YouTube troll. 2. Nick Diaz50 of 51Nick Diaz had his share of problems in and out of the cage, but none was bigger than he did leading up to his scheduled upcoming UFC 137 main event against George St-Pierre. Never one to be friendly with the press, Diaz took him one step further in preparing for this fight as he completely missed going for more than one scheduled media appearance, making the UFC look like they have no control over their fighters. As any reasonable promoter would do, the UFC has taken it upon itself to remove Diaz from the main event, replacing him with Carlos Condit, who was previously set to fight BJ Penn on the same card in what is expected to be the No.1 contenders. I would never take Nick Diaz's word again, White told MMA30TV. And you know what crazy, I did business with his brother, forever ... And his brother is a professional, does everything he says he's going to do. Nick has since reached out to the UFC and is now back on the card but hasn't got his shot at getting the title back. Instead, Diaz is now set to fight former UFC champion BJ Penn in what could prove to be one of the best fights of the year. It worked out well in the end, but it was a crazy couple of days, and the UFC was obviously very unhappy with the actions of its newest acquisition. Tito Ortiz51 of 51Ah yes, the best of all Dana White feuds ... Huntington Beach Bad-Boy Tito Ortiz. One of the highlights of this fued occurred after Ortiz's loss against Lioto Machida at UFC 84, a fight in which he dominated everything but almost presented the undefeated Brazilian with a triangle throttle at the end of the contest. At the post-match press conference, the two went one-on-one. Things between Tito and I are very real, White told the press. It's not bullish--. We're not trying to put on a WWE show. It's very real.' The long-running rivalry between these two strong ex-friends has been going on longer than anything ever in sport. But to make the playoffs, what did Dana say? It's almost crazy enough that it could become pro-fight-like storyline in relationship twists. Tito argued that too many of the fighters in the UFC were essentially slaves to White and the UFC, since they didn't get anywhere close enough, despite the fact that Ortiz himself was seen pulling in pieces of payment that the boundary is at absurd level given his record over the past five years. The two men were even setting up to have a boxing bout at one point. The plans have failed, but it just shows how deep this feud really goes. Goes. pat miletich net worth 2018
