It would then follow that the Foundation donated the collection to the Library of Congress, though, when is still unknown. Accruals No further accruals are expected. Processing History The Edison Sheet Music Collection was processed by Michael A. Ferrando under the direction of Lloyd Pinchback in 1997 using Procite database software. The database underwent further editing in 2001-2002 in order to prepare it for the EAD version of the finding aid. Copyright Status The status of copyright on the materials of the Edison Sheet Music Collection is governed by the Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, U.S.C.). The Collector The Edison Sheet Music Collection appears to be the music library of the recording division of Thomas A. Edison, Inc. and/or its predecessor, the National Phonograph Co. Its purpose is assumed to be to provide Edison's recording artists with music for recording sessions.
