The housing mix reflects the results of that dialogue and the proposed development responds to housing need data prepared by the RSL and the Local Authority. The scheme consists of 17 social rent houses/bungalows to provide good quality homes for families, couples and the older person. In addition, the Local Authority’s Housing Strategy identifies a need to provide this type of accommodation for people living in the local area. This Design and Access Statement accompanies the application for full Planning Consent in conjunction with the drawings prepared by Ainsley Gommon Architects.

    Anglesey & Gwynedd Joint Local Joint Development Plan 2016-2026 Item:- Deposit Plan Part 2 - Maps Ref ID 1824 - Page 111 - Map 118 - Bryn Du Re - Planning Approval for 12 Affordable Houses granted 2014 although part of the JLDP 2016-2026. ==================================================================== My previous statements on this item remains true and accurate. This comment indicates the degree of serious unsoundness that exists in the existing presented JLDP and the inadequate considerations given to the provision and location of Affordable Housing in Anglesey, and the serious consequences of locating Affordable Housing which do not have the benefit of adequate services and facilities. I stated in my earlier submission that the Anglesey County Council, (ACC), and the JLDP provide guidance on the location of Affordable Housing and state that they should be located in settlements where there are public facilities to support them. Grossly contrary to this guidance Bryn Du is a substantial linear village about 1 km long, and estimated to be of over 100 dwellings, between Llanfaelog Church and Ty Croes Train Station -(which provides a limited, almost virtual service which renders it unfit for purpose). The press statement issued by the Group Cynefin Housing Association and Anglesey County Council Housing Department on 26 May 2015 at the start of construction of the 12 Affordable Houses allocated to Bryn Du indicates how remote these organisations are from their own Council Guidance and the realms of reality:- “Grŵp Cynefin are working in partnership with Anglesey Council’s housing services to develop four small-scale sites in Bryngwran, Bodedern, Holyhead and Llanfaelog. The four developments were announced during a visit to one of the sites, the Bryn Du development in Llanfaelog, which consists of six homes (3 bedroom) and six smaller homes (2 bedroom).

    GWYNEDD COUNCIL CABINET Date of meeting: 12 June 2018 Cabinet Member: Councillor Dilwyn Morgan Contact Officer: Sioned Owen / Rachel Jones Contact Phone No.: 01286 662632/ 01248 352436 Item Title: 30-hour childcare offer for 3-4-year olds 1 DECISION SOUGHT 1.1 The Cabinet is asked to agree for the Gwynedd and Anglesey childcare, Children and Families Department to co-operate with Conwy Council to act as Lead Authority to administer the 30-hour childcare offer for 3-4-year olds, in accordance with Welsh Government guidance. 1.2 That the implementation of 1.1 is subject to the Cabinet Member for Children and Young People confirming the inter-authority governance arrangements and ensuring that an appropriate partnership agreement between Gwynedd Council and Anglesey and Conwy Councils is in place. 2 INTRODUCTION 2.1 The Welsh Government is now committed to providing, within the term of the current Government, 30 hours per week of free early years education and childcare for working parents with children aged 3 or 4, for 48 weeks a year. The free early years education currently provided by the Foundation Phase forms part of this offer. 2.2 Since September 2017 the Welsh Government have been trialling the offer with seven local authorities, namely Gwynedd and Môn (working jointly); Blaenau Gwent; Caerphilly; Flintshire; Rhondda Cynon Taff and Swansea. 2.3 Gwynedd commenced the offer in September 2017, operating in 4 Wellbeing areas. Since then, permission was granted to add more Wellbeing areas gradually. Since April 2018 the Government has agreed to include Gwynedd and Môn fully in the Scheme.

In it is a description of natural and man made processes which affect the behaviour of this part of the United Kingdom. It includes a summary of the coastal defences, areas of significant change and a number of aspects of beach development. There is also a brief chapter on winds, waves and tidal action, with extensive references being given in the Bibliography. NGR: SH 5384 6953 © Crown copyright: Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales: Dating Old Welsh Houses: North West Wales Dendrochronology Project HOUSE DETAILS: An ‘important sub-medieval house which appears to be constructed in at least three or four phases, beginning in the early-mid C16 as a 2-unit house with lateral chimney, consisting of the ground floor of hall, passage and small outer room. It reached the present E-shaped plan in the early-mid C17, with the addition of a storeyed porch over the entrance, and a similar oriel bay at the E end: rear stair wing dated on close- studding, 1638. The E-plan was completed towards the end of the C17 with the addition of a larger N wing on the W side [...]. Outbuildings attached to the W end are later, mostly C19.’ (CADW listing description). ‘Lavish version of Snowdonia plan-type with projecting oriel, porch and later kitchen (?1660s) giving a busy front elevation. House has a contemporary rear parlour wing. Service rooms were in basement under the hall. Hall has a lateral chimney, framed ceiling, 16 panels; broad chamfered beams with curved stops with a torus’ (Richard Suggett, RCAHMW). Description in RCAHMW Caernarvonshire Vol. II, no. 1387a. Lower purlin 1561 (30½C); Principal rafters (3/4) 1557(52C), 1551(19+8C NM); 1536(17¼C NM); Tiebeams (0/2); Strut (0/1); Collar (0/1); (b, c) Middle Range and Rear Range – felling date: Winter 1628/9.
