Prince George County Farmers’ Market Online Pre-Ordering Guide
The Farmers’ Market will be opening at Scott Park on May 23, 2020. Pre-ordering will be available with curb side pickup starting May 16th and will continue throughout the entire market season (through October 31st). Market will be closed July 4th.
Click here to email the Market Manager with the items you would like to order. The Market Manager will respond to your email with a total amount due and will contact the vendors to fulfill the order. An order form is being developed and will be added in the near future.
Please Note the following guidelines for the 2020 Farmers’ Market:
The market opened to the public on May 23, 2020 at Scott Park Pavilion. We ask the public to adhere to the following guidelines: Shopper Guidelines Keep your market visit as short as possible. Households should have no more than one or two people in their shopping group. Customers are strongly encouraged to wear a mask. Maintain a distance of six feet from other shoppers. The market manager will be reminding shoppers to keep their distance. Pre-order as much as possible for quick pickup at the market. Aim to be in and out of the market in under 20 minutes. If you or a family member is sick, STAY HOME. Wash your produce and wipe down packaging when you get home. Vendor Guidelines All vendors MUST wear a face mask. Assign designated staff to handle money and another to handle product when possible. Products should be pre-packaged whenever possible. Manager Guidelines Manager and all staff MUST wear a face mask when dealing with customers. Manager will increase spacing between vendors to the extent possible to maintain 6 ft. social distancing. All market community events are cancelled until further notice. Manager will wipe down commonly used surfaces. Manager will wipe payment device frequently.

About the Company: Blessings from Above was created in 2018 when John and Debbie Trexler merged his woodworking skills with her love of painting and crafts. All wooden items are made from recycled wood pallets and hand painted and crafted individually. Tim Britt, honey vendor selling at Prince George Farmers Market since the first year, has kept bees since 2001. All honey for sale at the market is originated in Prince George in four different bee yards in an areas located near Courtland Rd, Birdsong Rd, Rt 106, and Rt 10. All honey is raw and unadulterated and local, by description, to Prince George County.

Going for Green Farm, located in Prince George, grows specialty cut flowers. Our market bouquets will feature a variety of Sunflowers, Zinnias, Cosmos, Celosia, Dahlias, and more. We are excited to be able to share our beautiful flowers and hope they will be lucky enough to brighten your home! In addition to flowers, we will occasionally have colorful free range eggs and plan to have delicious wildflower honey available in late summer. Mason Jar Bouquet - $10.00 each A pint size mason jar filled with flowers. At least 3 focal flowers, greenery and filler flowers. Perfect for a kitchen window, desk or nightstand. Return your clean mason jar in usable condition the following week for a $0.75 discount.
Zinnia Stem Bunch - $8.00 per bunch A tied bouquet full of mixed Zinnia sizes and a few sprigs of greenery to take home and arrange in your own vase.
Tied Market Bouquet - $8.00 each A mix of stems tied with a rubber band. Take them home and arrange them your way, in your vase. Stem ends will be wrapped in wet paper towels and plastic and the flower heads wrapped in kraft paper to help you safely transport them home.
Stems used in bouquets will vary throughout the season. Examples of focal flowers include: sunflowers, zinnias, cockscomb celosia, hydrangea, and dahlias. Examples of filler flowers include: cosmos, plume celosia, gomphrena, strawflower, scabiosa, petite zinnias, and/or phlox. About the Company: Taught by her German grandmother, Rosie Collins has been crafting for most of her life. She is adept at sewing, knitting, crocheting, drawing, painting, stained glass, as well as in other artistic medium. Having been born in New York City, and having been raised in Germany and New York, after graduating from community college, she spent 24 years in service to our country as an Air Force Mete- orologist.
