The best way to do that is to sing and speak from something they’ve personally been through. That’s where I write from,” Amber ‘Sevyn’ Streeter says. Sevyn Streeter has cemented herself as a rising musical sensation. Having most recently dropped a new collection of music titled Shoulda Been There Pt. 1, Streeter takes her fans through a musical journey of 13 tracks, which include the Chris Brown assisted single, “Don’t Kill The Fun,” plus additional hits “Boomerang” with Hit-Boy and the lead title track, “Shoulda Been There” featuring B.o.B.(https://youtu.be/nFzodv8Orqs). With her full-length album in-the-works, Sevyn refers to Shoulda Been There Pt.1 as “the prelude or an appetizer before the main course”. She adds, “If I experience it, I write it, and I make a song out of it. And that’s what these records are…so I just kinda want to let y’all into the last year and a half of my life and let’s talk about it.” Streeter joined forces with longtime friend and co-collaborator, Chris Brown, on her smash single, “Don’t Kill The Fun”. The upbeat, party-starting track is being celebrated as one of the most “feel-good” songs of 2015. The colorful companion video- which was directed by and features Chris Brown – has over 8 million views on YouTube to date (https://youtu.be/WvOo-SYN0mY). Following the success of “Don’t Kill The Fun”, Sevyn dropped an additional single, “4th Street” which serves as an uplifting tribute to her family in her hometown of Haines City, Florida. The keyboard-led track sees the 29-year-old recounting a number of personal stories involving friends and family. Check out the heartwarming video here: https://youtu.be/Q8DdSFHNNZs In addition to releasing singles from her own catalog, Sevyn was recently featured on the critically acclaimed soundtrack for Furious 7 with her song “How Bad Do You Want It”. The heavy-hitting, club banger has quickly proven to be a fan favorite with the companion video garnering nearly 8 million views since its debut (https://youtu.be/6Ugaq6r6sQE). Raised outside of Orlando in the close-knit city of Haines City, Florida, Streeter – like so many of the greats before her—cultivated her voice in church as a young girl finding inspiration from already iconic voices in gospel, R&B, and pop. When asked who influenced her the most, she rattles off an impressive list: Yolanda Adams, the Clark Sisters, Kim Burrell, the Winans Family, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Brandy, and naturally, Whitney Houston. Streeter’s solo career began to take off upon her signing to Atlantic Records. In October 2012, she released her first single, “I Like It”, a thrashing anthem ripe with sweeping hooks, blistering vocal runs, and the type of pulsating bassline that DJs, and listeners in their car, dial up to the max. The single quickly put Sevyn on the map as an artist to watch. In December 2013, Sevyn released her solo EP “Call Me Crazy, But…”, which debuted at number 5 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. “It Won’t Stop”, the lead single from the EP, has proven a true phenomenon, topping Billboard’s “Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay” chart for 9 consecutive weeks while climbing both Billboard’s “Hot 100” and “R&B/Hip Hop Songs” chart. In addition, the “It Won’t Stop” companion video – directed by and co-starring GRAMMY® Award-winner Chris Brown – is a YouTube smash, earning more than 61 million views at Sevyn’s official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/sevynstreeter. Streeter’s debut EP also featured the hit single, “nEXt” feat. Kid Ink which has garnered over 9 million views on YouTube. In addition to making her mark as a solo artist, Sevyn is also a GRAMMY Award Winning songwriter, having written six songs from Chris Brown’s GRAMMY winning album, “Fame” as well as two songs from Alicia Keys’ GRAMMY winning album, “Girl on Fire”. Her songwriting credits include some of R&B and pop’s hottest singles, including Chris Brown’s “Fine China,” Tamar Braxton’s “All The Way Home,” Alicia Keys’ “New Day,” and Ariana Grande’s chart-topping hit, “The Way.” Additionally, Streeter has been called upon by a remarkable roster of top studio superstars, including Diplo, Polow Da Don, Swizz Beats, Babyface and many others. # # # "Sevyn has an energy that is a spark in a room! She is driven and focused like only those who make a true imprint are! I look forward to seeing the mark she leaves on the world!" – ALICIA KEYS I like the new artist Sevyn Streeter. I knew her when she was in a girl group that I had actually worked with, RichGirl. She’s brand-new on the scene, and she’s very talented. I think it’s time for some new blood. Seriously, the people who are out now—majority of them have been out for years. There’s not that many fresh, fresh meat. –KANDI BURRUSS "Sevyn is such an amazing talent and person. I am sooo thankful she took the time to work on my new album. Slower is one of my favorite songs on the project. I can't wait to hear her new music!" – BRANDY “Sevyn has one of the most angelic voices I've heard in a long time. She has a lot to offer the younger female generation." - CHRIS BROWN "It's been such a pleasure working with Sevyn; she is a breath of fresh air. Not only is she incredibly talented, but her beautiful spirit lights up a room" - KELLY ROWLAND "It's very rare that in this business of music you find a talented person that spirit matches. She will be a major imprint in music. You can see the future of music when you look at her for one second… - SWIZZ BEATZ "Sevyn is incredibly talented and has a phenomenal voice. She's featured on one of my favorite tracks from Chapter V [Without A Woman] and I'm excited for the world to hear more from her." - TREY SONGZ “She is what I would like to call "Vocally Gifted". Her range is ridiculous and her tone is original and recognizable.... - POLOW DA DON "We always enjoy working with Sevyn in the studio. Her sense of melody and ability to write lyrics are the recipe for a hit record." - THE RUNNERS “Streeter is one of mainstream R&B’s secret weapons.”- STEREOGUM “Shoulda Been There” Media Highlights “Sevyn Streeter, much like Baby E, has been a songwriter for other, more successful artists for many years. She's been aiming for solo crossover for some time, and although she's had a strong hit with the gold-selling "It Won't Stop," her star power still feels pretty low. I'd hoped her release earlier this year with Chris Brown, "Don't Kill the Fun," might find some legs, but it appears to have quietly stepped off stage instead, as did follow-up "4th Street." But now, with her hopefully-titled EP On the Verge out on iTunes, its title track does appear to be picking up some steam. It's a catchy record about breaking up with a guy who wasn't present, and it features her current boyfriend, B.o.B.” “Shoulda Been There” Media Highlights “An appetizer before the main course” are the words used by singer/songwriter/dancer Sevyn Streeter to describe her new 13-track EP ‘Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1.’ And, after one listen to the delectable collection of tunes, including the recently released title track with boyfriend/rapper B.O.B. and the carnival - inspired ‘Don’t Stop the Fun’(featuring Chris Brown), we’re certain you’ll be hungrier than ever for what the talented beauty is serving” “Shoulda Been There” Media Highlights “How Bad Do You Want It” Coverage Highlights! “The R&B siren effortlessly rides the syth-heavy track” “How Bad Do You Want It” Coverage Highlights! “How Bad Do You Want It” Coverage Highlights! “How Bad Do You Want It” Coverage Highlights! “Don’t Kill The Fun” feat.
