STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Spectra Venue Management’s promise to its clients, customers and employees is to innovate through imagination and technology, while working together with respect and appreciation.

Spectra Venue Management works diligently with the City of Moose Jaw to ensure that Mosaic Place has a diverse offering of events that cater to a wide range of customers while continuing to grow a sustainable economic base in Moose Jaw.

VENUE OVERVIEW

Mosaic Place, located in notorious Moose Jaw , opened its doors on August 19, 2011. Mosaic Place is a 210,000 square foot facility featuring an entertainment/sports bowl, an 8 sheet centre, banquet space, meeting rooms and retail space.

The facility is a state-of-the-art event centre hosting numerous events from concerts, game shows & extreme sports and everything in between. Mosaic Place is the proud home of the WHL and the AAA Warriors and hosts numerous events throughout the hockey season.

Event Arena seats 4,465 for hockey spectators and 5000+ for events & concerts and features 21 private suites and 132 club seats. Mosaic Place has six concessions and the Great Western Lounge holding up to 150 guests.

The Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre boasts a state of the art 8 sheet training centre for southern Saskatchewan. The curling facility features locker rooms, a spacious loft social area and two-tiered theatre style seating to provide the ultimate game viewing and a fully catered lounge.

Spectra Venue Management took over managing the facility on Sept 3, 2019. Spectra is the expert in hosting and entertainment, partnering with over 750 clients at over 400 global properties to create memorable experiences for millions of visitors each year. On behalf of the City of Moose Jaw, I am please to congratulate Spectra Venue Management for their contributions to the management of Mosaic Place, in such short order. Since Spectra Venue Management commenced operations of the facility in the fall of 2019, they were involved in coordinating entertainment events at Mosaic Place including Sum 41/The Offspring concert, the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts event and the Brad Paisley concert, these events will generate a positive economic impact in our community.

Mosaic Place is an integral part of our community and we are delighted to have Spectra Venue Management operating the facility with their expertise and outstanding team members that continue to attract and coordinate a variety of events to Mosaic Place for all to enjoy.

We are excited for this opportunity to work with an international firm and look forward to the coming years of events and successes while putting Mosaic Place back in its rightful spot as the preeminent Events Centre in Southern Saskatchewan.

Spectra Venue Management took over the operations of Mosaic Place September 3, 2019. Over the past four months Mosaic Place has seen 55,000 plus fans attend the 21 WHL Moose Jaw Warriors and 17 AAA Warriors home games, we have hosted 5 Bonspiels, held over 42 private booking, hundreds of hours of recreation hockey, seen 446 league & 563 commercial curlers take to the ice, held a concert and hosted Remembrance Day and that’s just to name a few!

2020 is expected to be a diverse and busy year for Mosaic Place with world class events such as the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, The Price is Right Live, Brad Paisley, Gord Bamford’s #Rednek Must Fest, ZZ Top and High Valley all set to take centre stage. Plus, a myriad of meetings, birthday parties, hockey, curling events, RV Show and community events.

We are committed to the community and building partnership. Fostering the growth of our talented team and providing the Spectra Experience to our venue guests and beyond.

MOSAIC PLACE BANQUET AND MEETING SPACE

Mosaic Place plays host to a variety of events in the banquet and meeting spaces located on the main and second levels.

The main level features the Kinsmen boardroom (groups up to 16), the Lower Curling Lobby (groups up to 200) and the Curling Room (groups up to 24).

The second level meeting spaces includes three separate meeting rooms. The Belle Plaine, Colonsay, and Esterhazy are perfect for smaller gatherings and capable of converting into one larger space for groups up to 200 people. The McCraig Mezzanine allows groups extra space and is often used for the buffet lines, reception area and event registration. Four smaller rooms suitable for smaller breakout sessions and one on one meetings

Also located on second level, is the Great Western Lounge featuring a bird’s eye view of curling sheets in the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre, equipped with T.V.’s, a game area, a full service bar and kitchen makes this space ideal for events of all sizes.

From September 3 to December 31, 2019 Mosaic Place hosted 25 BUSINESS MEETINGS and a variety of special events. This collection of events and gatherings brought an additional 2500 GUESTS to Mosaic Place some notable events include The Festival of Trees and the Moose Jaw & District Hall of Fame Inductee Dinner.

2019 was the inaugural year for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation’s annual Festival of Trees Gala at Mosaic Place, which included a plated meal for 400, a live charity auction and dance to follow. This two-day event welcomed the community to a breakfast buffet and viewing the fabulous trees and décor created by the Festival Committee and its sponsors.

The Moose Jaw Ford Centre Centre located inside Mosaic Place is an 8 sheet curling rink with a state of the art training equipment, making Moose Jaw a curling hub. Featuring locker rooms, lower lounge and upper lounge spectators and curlers alike always have a good view of the “house”. This spacious rink can be transformed for Wedding, Convention, Tradeshow Space, RV Shows and large events. If they can dream it, we will make it happen!

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

PROGRAM

Spectra Venue Management is committed to Moose Jaw’s non-profit organizations and community groups like Running Wild Pet Rescue, minor sports teams and school travel programs to name a few. From September to December, Spectra provided 12 community groups the opportunity to earn a combine total of $11,650. These groups helped before, during and after events and Mosaic Place and the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre receiving an honorarium for their hard work. In addition to the Community Support Program Mosaic Place is proud to support the Remembrance Day Ceremony and Holiday Public Skating by providing the building at no cost. 2020 will see new fundraising opportunities for local community groups and organizations.
