Minnesota Department of Revenue names Susan Von Mosch as Assistant Commissioner for Tax Policy

Saint Paul – The Department of Revenue announced today that Susan Von Mosch will join the department as Assistant Commissioner for Tax Policy. Von Mosch will lead the department’s tax policy operations and manage the tax policy development process between the Department of Revenue and the legislature.

“Susan brings a great deal of experience in policy research and analysis and I look forward to her expertise and leadership as we continue to enhance the revenue system for Minnesota,” said Revenue Commissioner Myron Frans.

Von Mosch comes to the department after serving as Research and Policy Director for the Office of Higher Education. Von Mosch also served as the Interim Director of the Office of Higher Education until State Senator was appointed Director by Governor .

Prior to the Office of Higher Education, Von Mosch spent five years as a Fiscal Analyst for the Minnesota State Senate Taxes Committee. Von Mosch also spent time with the Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources, the City of Finance Department, the Office of the Legislative Auditor and the Minnesota Office of the State Auditor.

Von Mosch graduated from the University of Minnesota Morris and received a Master of Arts from the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Von Mosch begins her role as Assistant Commissioner for Tax Policy on November 14.
