Merckx Advantage Time Trial Information

An exciting new way of scoring time trials that has been used by Topview Sports in other states with great success. The Merckx advantage TT allows riders to choose whether or not they want to use aero gear or select ‘Merckx’ and get a time handicap. Riders electing to race ‘Merckx’ will get a 30 second time bonus deducted from their finish time.

How does it work? When you roll up to the TT start you must tell the starter if your are doing Merckx or not. IF you do not tell the starter, then we will score you as aero!

Aero Gear Limitations for Merckx Advantage TT

-No aero bars, aero helmets, aero shoe covers, aero extensions of any kind

-Wheels are limited to 55mm rims or smaller, no disc wheels or anything above a regular zipp 404 type depth.

-Allowed items—skinsuits, aero road helmets (non-teardrop shape, does not cover ears) Davy Crockett Classic Feb 8th-9th 2020
