Our volunteers are truly a part of our mission at UMFS and we are grateful for the impact they have in helping us bring hope and healing to those we serve.

Soon after Steve and Robin got married, Robin’s own nieces and nephews were in need of a home, and they became the couple’s first placements as their journey began. “I really liked it,” Robin said. “It has been nonstop since then.” She laughed that her husband said he knew that would happen once she gave it a chance. The couple have had around 14 foster children in their home over the Robin and Steven Williams years, sometimes with three or four at a time. Since working with UMFS, they mostly have fostered teenagers. “The most rewarding part for me is when you see that the children become productive adults after being dealt such a bad hand,” Robin said. “Everyone that comes in connects with us, and they are treated as “We love what family.
