To agree to the issue of a licence in terms of the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) (Butchers’ Shops) Amendment (Scotland) Regulations, 2000 to the proprietors of the butchers’ shop premises shown on the list contained at the Appendix to this report.
REPORT
Members will be aware from previous reports to the Sub-Committee of the requirement for the proprietors of butchers’ shops to be licensed in terms of the above Regulations by 2”dOctober, 2000.
A total of 75 applications for licences have been received, to date, together with the required fee of f 100 in each case. The relevant documentation provided by the applicant and the premises to which it relates, as detailed in the Appendix to the report, have been checked by Environmental Health Officers and found to eomplywith the criteria for licensing in terms of the Regulations.
A further report will be submitted to the full Planning and Environment Committee on 27th September in respect of any outstanding applications which are still being processed by the Protective Services Division.
RECOMMENDATION
That the Council grant a licence in terms of the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) (Butchers’ Shops) Amendment (Scotland) Regulations, 2000 to the proprietors of the butchers’ shop premises shown on the list contained at the Appendix to this report. 2
