WMGK Classic Rock Art Show & Sale Opens With Wings’ Denny Laine

Bala Cynwyd, PA - December 12, 2016 -- 102.9 WMGK’s annual tradition of creating a one-of-a- kind gallery featuring a rare collection of artwork, fine art photographs, posters featuring the greatest rock artists of all time continues this year at a new location, the Willow Grove Park Mall (lower level next to J.C. Penney) on 2500 W. Moreland Road, Willow Grove, PA. The show will run from this Friday, December 16th through Saturday, December 24th. The opening weekend of the show will feature live appearances from guitarist Denny Laine on Friday, December 16, Saturday December 17 and Sunday, December 18th. Laine played guitar in Paul McCartney’s Wings as well as Moody Blues. He will showcase his new artwork as well as perform brief acoustic sets for the customers.

The 102.9 WMGK Classic Rock Art Show & Sale showcases an amazing collection of works featuring , The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Bruce Springsteen, The Police, Santana, Ringo Starr, Guns N’ Roses, Pink Floyd, and much more.

Admission is free and all works are available to purchase. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of this groundbreaking tour, 102.9 ‘MGK has set up a special exhibit within the art show featuring hand signed artwork from Paul McCartney, fine art photographs from Linda McCartney and the debut of Denny Laine’s artwork.

The show and parking are free and all rock art works are available to purchase with items ranging from $30 to $10,000. Mall hours are 10 am – 9 pm (except Sunday, December 18, 11am – 6pm).

Laine’s return to the Philadelphia area marks the 40th anniversary of Wings 2 sold out shows at the Philadelphia Spectrum. In the Spring of 1976, Paul McCartney introduced Philadelphia to his new band Wings with huge shows at the legendary Philadelphia arena. This historic tour featuring state-of-the-art sound and a cutting edge laser light show would mark the only time Wings performed in Philadelphia. The concert tour resulted in a live triple album entitled , a top 10 single (Maybe I’m Amazed), as well as the TV special and a film entitled Rock Show.
