WORK EXPERIENCE Date Since June 2020: Position held President Elected CEN – European Committee for Standardization - for the mandate 2022-2024. Officially due to start on the 1st of January 2021 as President elected and official handhover as new President for the mandate on January 2022.
Date Since May 2017: Position held Vice President of UNI - Italian Standardization Body (Ente Italiano di Normazione), where he is member of the Council and of the Board of Directory, on behalf of CNI (National Board of Engineers). In UNI he is also Coordinator of the specific Board for the development of the norms concerning professional activities.
Date Since December 2016: Position held Councelor for the National Board of Engineers (CNI),that represents 106 provincial Order of Engineers and more than 240.000 Engineers in Italy. He is also the Councelor appointed to manage the National Agency for the professional certification of the competences of Engineers “CERTing” (accredited by ACCREDIA UNI-EN-ISO/IEC 17024) in more than 20 Engineering fields, belonging to the “civil and environmental” sector, the “industrial” sector and the “information” sector. He is also the leader of the Italian delegation in ENGINET, the European Alliance for the mutual recognition of the competences of Engineers.

Date July 2011 – May 2020 Position held Member of CTVIA (National Committee of MATTM - Ministry of Environment and Protection of Land and Sea, for the evaluation of environmental impacts of relevant civil constructions and industrial plants). National Officer VIA appointed by Ministerial Decree GAB-DEC-112-2011 of 19.07.2011 (Engagement letter of MATTM - prot. DVA 17728/2011) In carrying out these functions he has brought the professional experience already gained in the civil-environmental sector and especially in the construction of relevant public buildings and industrial plants and in the verification against the seismic risk. Subsequently, he has consolidated his experience in environmental and territorial protection, community planning and sustainable territorial development. In the years 2018 and 2019 he has been the leader of the VIA procedures concerning the methanisation of North and South Sardinia (more than 400 km). Date Since 1992 and now Position held Founder and General Manager of the associated firm SCL-Ingegneria Strutturale ( www.scl - ingegneria.it ) in partnership with Eng. Silvano Lacavalla and Eng. Stefano Sesana. The company, based in Milan, carries out its activity both in Italy and abroad and nowadays counts on a team of 22 professionals including 15 engineers, 1 dipl. engineer, 1 architect, 2 technicians, 1 economics and business graduate, 1 environmental science graduate and an assistant. He has been Designer, Works Manager and Checker of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and wood structures, with professional assignments especially in the field of civil and industrial buildings, including the renovation of existing or historical buildings, with particular regard to seismic engineering. In recent years has become increasingly important the role of Coordinator or general/technical Works Manager in the field of public works; with this professional role he has directed both the structural and architectural works, through the coordination of teams of specialists with an interdisciplinary approach. It is also remarkable the experience gained in the activity of “Forensic Engineering”, being CTP or CTU (Part Technical Consultant or Judge Technical Consultant) in ordinary cases, arbitrations and amicable agreements, where he has often served as President.
