OBITUARY MR. C. J. MOREY

The death occurred suddenly on Friday, while walking to his son’s nearby, Mr. Cephas John MOREY, of 2 Mars Hill, Carlton-road, Elmfield. He was sixty-nine and had been in poor health for some years. Mr. MOREY was a native of Ryde, and formerly farmed at Haylands Farm. About twelve years ago he was compelled to retire owing to his failing health, when he and his family moved to Elmfield. He is survived by a widow, a son and two daughters. The funeral service took place on Tuesday conducted by the Rev. E.E.M.GREEN. The mourners were Mrs. MOREY (widow), Mr. H.E. MOREY (son), Mrs. E. PRATT and Miss H. MOREY (daughters), Mrs. I.D. MOREY (daughter-in-law), Mr. A.J. BULL (brother-in- law), and Miss E. BULL (sister-in-law). Others present included Mrs. A. MOREY and Miss A. MOREY, Messrs. S., W., and F. BUTCHERS, Mrs. DOUSE, Mrs W. BUTCHERS, Miss F. BUTCHERS. Messrs. A., A., and G. MOREY (nephews and nieces), and Commander P.C. MUNRO. There were many floral tributes. ------
