FLACS Positions All positions are held for two-year terms. Nomination Eligibility Requirements for all positions: FLACS member in good standing for two years

President 1. Coordinates all meetings 2. Prepares agendas for meetings 3. Approves all official FLACS correspondence 4. Works closely with webmaster 5. Grants final approval of all official statements made on behalf of FLACS 6. Represents FLACS or designates representation to other educational institutions, organizations, agencies and professional meetings 7. Oversees the organization’s strategic planning process 8. Is signatory on all accounts and co-signs all checks with the Secretary-Treasurer

First Vice-President 1. Attends all board meetings 2. Serves as coordinator of the FLACS Exams a. Oversees co-chairs for steering committees b. Coordinator of Exam calendar c. Oversees field testing of exams & feedback d. Is the contact person regarding exams 3. Oversees all other FLACS committees

Second Vice-President 1. Attends all board meetings 2. Prepares calendar for the following year 3. Serves as of Spring conference a. Coordinates vendors, food, & workshops b. Coordinator for workshop/conference presenters c. Prepares conference program d. Coordinates registration with secretary Secretary-Treasurer 1. Attends all board meetings 2. Take minutes of the meetings 3. Distribute minutes to executive board 4. Reports treasury financial report for FLACS general meetings 5. Co-signs the necessary checks on behalf of FLACS 6. Assists in registration of meetings and conferences 7. Maintains a membership database and provides board with updated list of members

Public Relations Officer 1. Attends all board meetings 2. The Public Relations Officer is the official spokesperson for the organization when dealing with the media. The Public Relations Officer must consult with the President on all official contact with the media. 3. Publicizes FLACS Student Scholarships and convenes a committee to select scholarship and award recipients 4. Promotes the goals of FLACS via listservs and press 5. Responds to general inquiries about the organization 6. Works with the webmaster when dealing with matters relating to FLACS and FLACS website

Board Liaison Officer 1. Attends all board meetings 2. Consults with president on all official contact with the media – may serve as the official spokesperson with the media as authorized by the president, or if the president is unavailable 3. Publicizes FLACS scholarships and awards. Convenes a committee of FLACS members in good standing to select the scholarship and award winners 4. Promotes the goals of FLACS via email and social media 5. Responds to general inquiries about the organization 6. Carries out any additional duties as determined by the executive board.
