WHEELING AND DEALING On Friday, the Avalanche acquired defenseman Patrik Nemeth from the in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT Colorado ranks first in the NHL in shots-per-game (35.3) and shots-against-per-game (25.1). The last NHL team to lead the league in both was the 2009-10 Blackhawks. The Avs pace the NHL in shot differential (+418), far ahead of the next closest team (Montreal, +186). The've out-shot the opposition by an average of 10.2 shots per night. Colorado has out-shot its opponents in 34 of its 41 contests this season (most in NHL). The Avs own a 25-7-2 record when holding an edge in shots, the most wins of any club.
