2 Fiscal Health Putting the Economy on a Sound Path The nation’s tax and regulatory policies, left unaddressed, will further encourage U.S. businesses to move their capital and create jobs overseas. To invigorate the U.S. economy, CED Members urge lawmakers to join together on a bipartisan basis to simplify the tax code — for individuals and businesses alike — and adopt pro-growth regulations that neither impede nor favor any particular sector.
