OUR REGIONS 2020 HELLO.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR CAN MAKE. Our regional cities have been growing steadily for a number of years as they leave post-industrial decline behind and reinvent themselves for the 21st century economy. On this journey there has been little evidence of a tailwind from Westminster. Following the December 2019 election, the regions suddenly find that they hold the key to majority Government. Is a material change in the rate of regional growth imminent as motivated politicians take action to speed up the process of devolution and economic rebalancing? Those investors, developers and businesses already active in the regions are no longer outliers, they are the vanguard of a regional movement which will build over the next generation. Now is the time to enlist into something that will soon become obvious with hindsight. Our best days lie ahead. Carpe diem!
