Turn OFF the power switch on your Sega™ Genesis™. NEVER insert or remove a game cartridge when the power is on. 2. Make sure your control is plugged into the port labeled Control 1 on the console. If you’re playing against or with a friend, plug his control into the port labeled Control 2. 3. Insert the game cartridge into the slot on the Genesis. Press the cartridge down firmly to lock it in place. 4. Turn ON the power switch. 5. When the NHLPA Hockey ’93 title screen appears, press START to see the Game Set-Up screen.
