M-Binder may be used at varying rates depending on factors such as slope, porosity of the soil and wind conditions. We have found that a good general rate is 150 lbs/acre.

•To tack straw:Apply M-Binder at 150-200 lbs/acre. We also recommend mixing with wood fiber at a rate of 200-300 lbs/acre (to help keep tackifier on top of straw) and sufficient water to produce good slurry flow. • For use with mulch: Apply M-Binder at 100-200 lbs/acre and wood fiber or paper mulch as specified. • For use in dust control: Apply M-Binder at 100-200 lbs/acre depending on site conditions.

Drought Protection Mycorrhizal fungi are naturally occurring organisms that form Mycorrhizal Hyphae are five times smaller than the tiniest root hairs; symbiotic relationships with nearly all plants including grasses, allowing them to enter very tiny spaces within the soil. They also have forbs, shrubs and trees. They function as a collection system for a much larger surface area than non-inoculated roots, providing greater their host plants, accessing moisture and nutrients up to 50 times moisture absorption from the same amount of soil. more efficiently than non-mycorrhizal plants. Weed Suppression More Efficient Use of Soil Nutrient Resources As well colonized ecosystems become self-sustaining, the more efficient Seeds inoculated with AM 120 Mycorrhizal Inoculant establish uptake of plant nutrients and moisture by mycorrhizal plants can strong healthy roots systems much quicker than non inoculated seed. reduce the presence of less efficient non-mycorrhizal ruderals. Mycorrhizal fungi develop complex webs known as "Hyphae" throughout the soil far beyond the reach of the plants roots. They Improved Soil Structure release enzymes and chelating agents that convert immobile nutrients Glomalin is a recently discovered glue like compound that is excreted by into available plant food. Burned Area Revegetation, Does it Need Mycorrhizal fungi? Conclusion Wildfires have historically played a necessary function in many Reseeding with AM 120 is a sound management decision to increase ecosystems; converting dry vegetation into available nutrients and native vegetation cover and help protect natural ecosystems. allowing a healthy rebirth of plant species to occur.

With the intervention of highly effective fire suppression technology, many of these fire dependent sites have been protected for unnatural periods of time. This allows fire fuel to build and when fire occurs, temperatures from the fires are much higher, impacting a greater amount of damage to the flora and fauna.

Whether a "Mycorrhizal Inoculant" should be used can be generally determined by an assessment of the temperatures that occurred on the site. If soil temperatures exceeded 1400F throughout the root- zone, both the seed bank and the mycorrhizal component will be affected. If temperatures ran cooler during the burn, allowing plants to re-sprout and seeds to germinate, the presence of adequate levels of mycorrhizae are likely to remain in the soil.

Soil Moist Hydro

Water-Holding Polymer Add three to four pounds of SOIL MOIST HYDRO (sugar-type) per 1000 gallons of liquid in the storage tank. Let the product stand at least 5 minutes before adding fertilizer. Depending upon water retention desired, soil type and salt content of the water, one acre will require nine to fifteen pounds of SOIL MOIST HYDRO.

Product Benefits • Reduces plant watering by 50% • Saves time and money with less watering • Maintains vigorous plants • Minimizes transplant shock due to moisture loss • Reduces soil compaction • Cost Effective – lasts 3-5 years

TriC Humate

Hydroseeding on "Poor Soil? Tri-C a Natural SOILution!™ When the job depends on getting seeds to grow in deeply graded cuts or fills... You Need Tri-C HUMATE. Not a plant food.... a soil food.

Tri-C HUMATE is a concentrated mineral rich soil conditioner that's been composting for millions of years. Tri-C mines this product from freshwater, sand based leonardite deposits. It is then carefully milled and screened to perform as a hydroseeding additive.

• Natural and all organic • Guarantees 40% Humic Acids • Packed in 50 lb paper bags wrapped 40 per pallet - Bulk bags can be ordered • Hydroseed at 500 lbs. per acre mixed with standard slurry additives. • Non-toxic and non-burning - can be used in sensitive areas • Enhances seed emergence and plant survival • Reduces fertilizer leaching and water polluting runoff

All organics are not the same. It would take 100 cubic yards of com- post aged for over a million years to get 200 lbs of Tri-C Humate. This long lasting stable humus is the foundation of healthy, fertile topsoil. Most subsoils need the Humate more than traditional N-P-K fertiliz- er because they typically have low cation-exchange capacity resulting in serious leaching loss.

Tri-C HUMATE is • A mined compost of pre historic plants • What is missing in subsoil • A major component of all important organic matter that defines good top soil • What makes good top soil dark brown and able to hold moisture and fertilizer • A source of plant available nutrients, minerals and promotes the availability of them - Chelates. recommendations
