Using FXML in Javafx
JavaFX and FXML How to use FXML to define the components in a user interface. FXML FXML is an XML format text file that describes an interface for a JavaFX application. You can define components, layouts, styles, and properties in FXML instead of writing code. <GridPane fx:id="root" hgap="10.0" vgap="5.0" xmlns="..."> <children> <Label fx:id="topMessage" GridPane.halignment="CENTER"/> <TextField fx:id="inputField" width="80.0" /> <Button fx:id="submitButton" onAction="#handleGuess" /> <!-- more components --> </children> </GridPane> Creating a UI from FXML The FXMLLoader class reads an FXML file and creates a scene graph for the UI (not the window or Stage). It creates objects for Buttons, Labels, Panes, etc. and performs layout according to the fxml file. creates FXMLLoader reads game.fxml Code to Provide Behavior The FXML scene define components, layouts, and property values, but no behavior or event handlers. You write a Java class called a Controller to provide behavior, including event handlers: class GameController { private TextField inputField; private Button submitButton; /** event handler */ void handleGuess(ActionEvent e)... Connecting References to Objects The FXML scene contains objects for Button, TextField, ... The Controller contains references to the objects, and methods to supply behavior. How to Connect Objects to References? class GameController { private TextField inputField; private Button submitButton; /** event handler */ void handleGuess(ActionEvent e)... fx:id and @FXML In the FXML file, you assign objects an "fx:id". The fx:id is the name of a variable in the Controller class annotated with @FXML. You can annotate methods, too. fx:id="inputField" class GameController { @FXML private TextField inputField; @FXML private Button submitButton; /** event handler */ @FXML void handleGuess(ActionEvent e) The fxml "code" You can use ScaneBuilder to create the fxml file. -
Media Guide VELUX EHF Champions League Season 2012/2013 Group Phase
Media Guide VELUX EHF Champions League Season 2012/2013 Group Phase Group B TABLE OF CONTENTS GROUP B – expert´s view 3 THW Kiel 4 BM Atlético de Madrid 7 MKB Veszprém KC 10 IK Sävehof 13 RK Celje Pivovarna Laško 16 HCM Constanta 19 Schedule of matches 22 2 TEAMS: 1. THW Kiel 2. MKB Veszprém KC 3. BM Atlético Madrid 4. IK Sävehof 5. Celje Pivovarna Laško 6. HCM Constanta Expert Francois-Xavier Houlet says: What a group this is! Kiel, Madrid (formerly known as Ciudad Real) and Celje have won seven of the last nine Champions League titles! Furthermore, Kiel and Madrid are last year#s finalists. And despite many changes in their respective rosters, both “giants” belong to the top favourites. Kiel’s main challenge is the integration of five new players into the team. Especially, new top- shooter Marko Vujin faces the very difficult task to follow the big footsteps that Kim Andersson left. Atlético Madrid had to cope with the departures of, among others, Dinart, Strbik, Chema or Abalo. But after having signed Barrachet, Gojun and Superstar Balić there is no doubt that Madrid will continue to be one of the top teams. Veszprém are for many people the dark horse that could surprise the favourites. With Ugalde, Chema Rodriguez or coach Ortega speaks, the Hungarian champion now plays with a Spanish accent. I believe, this bunch of players can go very far in the competition. Celje, Sävehof and Constanta will likely compete for fourth place in Group B. Celje and Constanta have signed some strong players and can rely on their home crowd support, which is why it will be difficult for Sävehof to repeat last season’s feat when they won the qualification tournament and then finished third place in the group. -

Differentiation Rules (Differential Calculus)
Differentiation Rules (Differential Calculus) 1. Notation The derivative of a function f with respect to one independent variable (usually x or t) is a function that will be denoted by D f . Note that f (x) and (D f )(x) are the values of these functions at x. 2. Alternate Notations for (D f )(x) d d f (x) d f 0 (1) For functions f in one variable, x, alternate notations are: Dx f (x), dx f (x), dx , dx (x), f (x), f (x). The “(x)” part might be dropped although technically this changes the meaning: f is the name of a function, dy 0 whereas f (x) is the value of it at x. If y = f (x), then Dxy, dx , y , etc. can be used. If the variable t represents time then Dt f can be written f˙. The differential, “d f ”, and the change in f ,“D f ”, are related to the derivative but have special meanings and are never used to indicate ordinary differentiation. dy 0 Historical note: Newton used y,˙ while Leibniz used dx . About a century later Lagrange introduced y and Arbogast introduced the operator notation D. 3. Domains The domain of D f is always a subset of the domain of f . The conventional domain of f , if f (x) is given by an algebraic expression, is all values of x for which the expression is defined and results in a real number. If f has the conventional domain, then D f usually, but not always, has conventional domain. Exceptions are noted below. -

Effects of Different Densities of Sea Grape Caulerpa Lentillifera
fishes Article Effects of Different Densities of Sea Grape Caulerpa lentillifera on Water Quality, Growth and Survival of the Whiteleg Shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei in Polyculture System Khanh Van Ly, David Kamau Murungu * , Dung Phuong Nguyen and Ngoc Anh Thi Nguyen Department of Coastal Aquaculture, College of Aquaculture and Fisheries, Can Tho University, 3/2 Street, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City 94000, Vietnam; [email protected] (K.V.L.); [email protected] (D.P.N.); [email protected] (N.A.T.N.) * Correspondence: [email protected] Abstract: The integrated aquaculture-seaweed system has been identified as a bio-mitigation strategy to overcome environmental damage, improve the efficiency of nutrient use, maintain good water quality, and ensure the system’s sustainability. This study was conducted to determine the appro- priate density of sea grape (Caulerpa lentillifera) in polyculture with whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in the same culture tank. Five treatments were randomly designed in triplicate tanks where shrimp was monocultured (without sea grape) as a control treatment and four polyculture treatments with different seaweed density levels (0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2 kg m−3) for 56 days. The results showed that polyculture of shrimp and sea grape significantly reduced the concentrations of total − − 3− ammonia nitrogen (TAN), nitrite (NO2 ), nitrate (NO3 ), and phosphate (PO4 ) in the rearing tanks and significantly improved (p < 0.05) the growth rate (6.67–6.76% day−1), survival (73.3–78.5%), Citation: Ly, K.V.; Murungu, D.K.; and production of shrimp (3.44–3.87 kg m−3) compared to monoculture (6.24% day−1, 54.8%, and Nguyen, D.P.; Nguyen, N.A.T. -
